Good morning, Tasman since I subscribed, I have been watching your videos when they pop up. I could go to your play list, but that makes it too easy. Great to see you using the rifle stock you made, nice job by the way, but what is the action and calibre please? I'm also interested to know if you are South or North Island based, please?
Haha stoked you're enjoying the content Richard! Rifle stock is still going hard, hasn't broken in half yet! It's a Tikka T3 in .270 Winchester. I'm based in Christchurch 😁 nice and close to plenty of SI hunting and fishing. Cheers!
Another superb adventure. Love the narrative, wild life and sublime cooking. Using the mincer plate as a grill top was Gold! Bravo Tasman! Thank you for taking us on your hikoi.
Hi Tasman, props to you for sharing another wild adventure. I found your dialogue heaps easier to understand than some of your earlier episodes, dunno if that was intentional on your part but thanks again!
Ah that's awesome to hear, I'm glad you could tell and it was better, I was working so hard on it on this trip 😂 I tend to get a bit carried away 😂. Thanks!
Great video! Thats one of our favourite spots! We usually head up past the hut, but that is a good option avoiding the track climb or most of the gorge. Do you know what elevation you found water?
Thanks James! It is a really cool spot 😁. Yeah I was dreading climbing up and over to the hut so was glad it was possible to shoot up the way I did 😅. Yep, woulda been around 1250m 👍. Cheers!
Thanks mate! It's nice to see good numbers, though definitely a couple too many in there judging by the skinny hind. Usually south, it's nice when there's a couple tahr running round too! Cheers for watching 😁
I thought a skinny hind in the freezer meant it was a cold night for you in the tent. But then, ofcourse, you’re a buck. I started to type something about how impressive it is that you self motivate to get out there in the cold… but then I realised you never start before 2pm, so you lull yourself into a false sense of security until that first night… then ell freezo. The number of lighting attempts before reaching for your lighter, typical, and gold. Pretty interesting walking around with all those animals, and an epic sunset. The kebabs were epic, I was impressed. They’d be impressive at home, let alone over a little camp stove. I usually watch each video twice, and realised that I’d definitely watch all of this, just didn’t comment. I must have been distracted. Is that butt you made still going strong?
Shivering buck in the freezer is a good video title tho 😂 Ain't Nobody got time to get up early right! And you're right it probs helps for the motivation in these cold days 😂. Glad you enjoyed the lighting attempts 😂. The kebabs were so succulent 🤤 haha all good, thanks for the comment! Erm do you mean stock?? 😂 rifle stocks going super strong! The butts all good too 😉 Just returned from 29 epic days in fiordland, so just catching up on comments now 😁 cheers Paul!
@@NZWildAdventures LOL... must have got confused which account I was posting on when I referred to the stock as the butt. Glad both are doing just fine. I think Arved must have replied to the comment on the last video..... finally, a comments secretary.
😂 bit of a mix, dried stuff is usually paprika herbs and salt, sometimes garam masala, the wet stuff this time was a special mix of peanut butter, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and a bit of honey for satay sauce 😋. Big fan of the Ayam massaman paste normally tho!
As someone who started hunting in Canterbury in the 90's. Im still astonished by the amount of game in the hills these days. Great vid, very inspiring.
Love the bloopers Tasman 😂
Thanks Summer 😆
Plenty of animals to choose from. Keep up the good work.
