Once you’ve gotten you’re second bear coat, have you thought about doing a 4-5 tip up set up at the fishing hut? Most challenging part is keeping enough fuel to make it worthwhile, but I’ve heard you can take off all clothing which stops degrading, keep warm by the stove, tend to the tip ups continually. Solves cabin fever and scurvy for a long time. Too bad there’s not a really good source of coal in mystery lake…
Yes for sure, but I often only use two tip ups. If you fish too much, you may not have time to eat it all before it goes bad. If the fishing hut does not have a door, it is really a good thing to take off your clothes. Fuel will be an issue indeed. Probably need to make a trip to the coastal highway to get a lot of coal.
