- The Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance (WOCA) is dedicated to serving the women, and their families, affected by ovarian cancer. Here to tell us about this organization and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is Dr. Elizabeth Dickson-Michaelson. She is joined by Cheryl Figg, a cancer survivor who shares her story.
WOCA wants all women to know their bodies and the symptoms of ovarian cancer. For more information and to support WOCA's upcoming run/walks, visit WisconsinOvarianCancer.org.
I saw Cheryl Figg passed away in May 2019. May she rest in peace and may God comfort her family and friends.
Oh no :(
So sad 🙏
May she rest in Peace 🙏
Dr Dickson is my Oncologist and she did my laparoscopic hysterectomy back on August 5th
When I 27 I diagnosed. I would like to say my story in order to save others
what where the symptômes you had ? i need help
What symptoms u had I need to no urgent
@@dianefung6100 it's best you just go get checked out, i just had bloating which I ignored just go get it checked out please
Some dr say it wrong,,shes found with it 3rd stage and only little bloated,,, not everyone is a walking textbook,, some people with ovarian cancer have no bloating, not really much pain at all, and some people put lot weight on in stage 1 and 2 and some people's cancer moves to different places,, some people have only 1symptom lots heartburn,,,so these dr.s don't explain properly.they just repeat what they read rough guide,,,but realistically people are not on the rough guide list of theirs!
I have the bloating she’s talking about and excruciating pain..they found cyts on both ovaries. I’m supposed to go to my gynecologist next month to get a sonogram. Not too worried about it. God has my back
hello, did you find out what it was?
@@nahyamashiro not yet..they are checking for cancer
@@jenniferculipher4058 what test you did to find the cysts? transvaginal ultrasound? or abdomen ultrasound? I'm panicking, because I have the bloating but only did an abdomen ultrasound.
Diagnosed today. 17.5 cm mass.
I hope you're doing okay!
Prayers for you 🙏🏼
