The first time I came across this lock was 25 years ago just starting out as a smith. It was on breadvan as the door lock and it was locked up. So past my level at that time. I just got a cam lock and now you have made want to give it a go. Love that showcase lock you have. Always fun to have a lock that pops open. ✌🏻🌶

Great video! Illinois Duo locks are one of my favorites. They’re really fun lock to pick. =)

Pretty cool lock. I love that sometimes your new invaluable tension tool has to be three old ones you still have lying around. Great picking!

I have never tried to pick a wafer lock. I have pulled wafers out of one to scavenge springs before. This one is pretty cool with the dual bitting.

Enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing. Gonna have to pick one of these up, just made blue belt and trying to find non-Medeco purple locks in the USA has felt a bit limiting.

Definitely. This is a good one and can often be found on eBay. You can get an Assa Maximum+ Restricted online as well for reasonable prices, and if you’re interested in dimples DeGuard and MTL Jr. are also around in the purple range.
