    Ian was THE guy that put the pentatonic on another level.
    Simple in the hearing, and when you get into the details of his playing, you could realize all the potential and talent he got. May he rest in peace.

    RIP Ian. THE guitar legend who could run rings around Hendrix, Clapton, Prince etc. Plus you had an incredible sense of melody and phrasing the others lacked. So underated.

    The one and only, and most underrated guitarist ever. One of my top 3 players, but the one who has the most special place in my soul. Aside from being one of the kindest and humble musicians I've ever met........... and completely irreplaceable in the Project. No one, and I mean no one, comes close to him when playing these songs.

    Way better than David Gilmour who's good but limited to the pentatonic scale but Ian is able to go from pop rock to jazz fusion with ease

    I seriously do not know how his solo for wuthering heights is not considered the best solo ever..
