Ian was THE guy that put the pentatonic on another level. Simple in the hearing, and when you get into the details of his playing, you could realize all the potential and talent he got. May he rest in peace.
RIP Ian. THE guitar legend who could run rings around Hendrix, Clapton, Prince etc. Plus you had an incredible sense of melody and phrasing the others lacked. So underated.
The one and only, and most underrated guitarist ever. One of my top 3 players, but the one who has the most special place in my soul. Aside from being one of the kindest and humble musicians I've ever met........... and completely irreplaceable in the Project. No one, and I mean no one, comes close to him when playing these songs.
THE RUN AT 1 MINUTE IN MAKES ME GASP. He plays the most humble yet masterful tasty jazz notes of any session rock guitarist. He's truly a guitar players' guitarist and I'm grateful for all these videos of Ian :) THANK YOU -J
A wonderful player in every regard. He will be sadly missed and always loved here in Australia and around the world. Thank you. 🎸❤
This is a true gem. We get one more version of the iconic solo by the iconic writer himself.
RIP Ian, was damn good guitarist
RIP Ian. Thank you for your awesome guitar work on so many songs of my youth. Gone but never forgotten.🎼🎸🎶

One of THE Most Melodic players ever. Right up there, IMHO, with Gilmour
Away better than Gilmore and some other guitar players now days!!!
The right and beautiful notes ! Thank You Ian 🙏
One of the best phrasers I've EVER heard. His Allen Parsons Project playing is AMAZING....
My favorite guitarist ever. Love Ian's work.

I agree he is a great reason why I love APP so much!
One of my favorite guitarists, RIP Ian 😪

Uno de los grandes guitarristas de sesión qepd.
THE BEST OF THE BEST
This guy is one of the biggest reason I picked up a guitar in the 70’s. An amazing and very tasteful musician.
Master piece like many others
Pure silk
Fantastic, creative player
Absolute legend! I always imagined a PFL on the guitar alone and now I know why, seriously amazing, well done for what you do!
Great video, an historical art testimony ;o)
Thats amazing. You play both lead and rhytm simultaneously. Some nimble fingers
I love your playing 👏🏿👏🏿
Great feel.

So bloody awesome!

❤Top
My favourite guitar player ever, second David Gilmour.
Gilmore a'nt nothing, compare to this talented guitar player.hahaha.
Perfect sophisti pop. Super easy to follow and enjoy despite being prog-rock territory of technical wizardry.
Thought he was awfully good cause I listened before I read the info. It ranks up there as one of my top five guitar leads of all time.
Ian's such a great player. That looks like a rare LP custom sunburst. Whats the vibe?
Lots of people, aka the mass, might want to be just like you.
Way better than David Gilmour who's good but limited to the pentatonic scale but Ian is able to go from pop rock to jazz fusion with ease
He left way too young, sorely missed.
Christ that’s good. Ugh I hate that he’s played all the notes he’ll ever play
I seriously do not know how his solo for wuthering heights is not considered the best solo ever..
