I must inform you that when you are overtaking someone( especially larger 4 wheelers) please give horn to avoid unexpected accidents. This is common in India, you should let people know that you are overtaking some one.
From Ireland, having driven over 10,000km in India, this is very true. Trucks, cars, even sometimes other motorcycles just to let them know you are there. Do as the locals do.
Spoiler alert. You guys will get home to the U.K and feel really deflated when you look at all the signs on the side of the road telling you all the things you can’t do, all the traffic and speed cameras, all the ridiculous road rules, the ridiculous speed limits, all the self absorbed and self important people. My introduction to the joys of two wheels was on the foot board of my Dad's Vespa in 1958, I used to stand and hold onto the handlebars, I used to feel like I was flying as we went up the steep hills in Torquay, It has been in my blood ever since. I think I would enjoy that tour you are on, I have a book callled " Bitten By The Bullet " probably one of the early tours of India on the Bullets, by a group of enthusiasts.

Most westerners perceive India to be trapped in a time warp as they left in’47, which is all twisted. It’s a beautiful place and we’ve done well for ourselves.

Hey guy! as a goan myself i have a suggestion for you guys for gear.. we usually use textile style jackets and pants. you can find em at royal enfield dealerships and some helmet shops. Hope it helps you in your future ventures and I hope you guys enjoy your India tour
India is a very diverse country. There are green side, rainy side, desert side, snow and Himalayan side. Different language and different cultures based on the geography of India. Right now you are in the western Ghats, its the tropical side of India as you move down towards Kerala it will get greener. There are many Good and bad roads in India, some are really terrible. So a person from the Southern State like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc have a different language, climate, temperature and roads than a person living in the North Himalayan states like Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, uttrakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh where it is cold and snowy. Meanwhile in the west Rajasthan state is a dry Thar desert and on the east in Meghalaya they got rain 24*7 considered one of the wettest place on earth. Apart from that India got 2 main cluster of Islands one near Maldives called Lakshadweep islands and one near Indonesia called Andaman islands and they look similar to those countries.
South India surely has lots of Wildlife and Nature , it's tropical also. Central India also has a good big jungles and Nature. Btw , 'Jungle book' of Rudyard Kipling is also inspired from a Jungle of Madhyapradesh which has a magical ancient Temple & archeological side inside it.

This tour is fascinating. Loving every video. I've always been intrigued by India and as I own two Royal Enfields, this content is simply outstanding. Everyone you meet seems genuinely happy and friendly. 😊
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. So envious of you guys. Just shows how restricted we are in the UK, and such beautiful smiles. As for wildlife don't forget we have the Rutland panther (never seen it though).
Brilliant ! I had a Classic 350 in Thailand in that colorway. If you ask me, it is the best looking of the colors for the Classic. I just loved the engine of my 350. Granted, it could have either used on tooth up on the counter sprocket, or a sixth gear, but otherwise, a lovely single. Looking forward to more in the next episode.
It's such a change to have a positive review most people can't wait to give the negative about India (from what I have watched) It's great to see two guys enjoying their journey, I bet you guys are attracting some attention just because you are both so tall. 😂
I've been loving this series so far. Much more entertaining than your regular videos, although I do appreciate the reviews and comparisons there's nothing like seeing you use the bikes for what they're best at - exploring the world.

You should take these rides for having a fun with a RE motorcycle. 1. From Delhi to Ladakh on North side. You will blow up your mind on the world tallest motorable pass. 2. From Kolkata to Darjeeling/Sikkim in the east side. 3. From NJP (new jalpaiguri) town to Arunachal Pradesh or Meghalaya through Assam. Even Bhutan or Thailand is possible as international ride. 4. From Kolkata to Pondicherry via Bhuvneshwar, Vishakhapatnam and Chennai on the eastern ghat. 5. From Mumbai to Trivandrum via Panaji, Mangalore and Ernakulam on the western ghats. If you are serious bike rider or RE fan, you must take these rides to see the great country and experience.
A more candid video, which suited the location. Those triple engine bars look purposeful. If you were on a sports bike you would look pretty silly on the roads there, makes the unhurried RE's look perfectly designed for their terrain.
The wife and I were in India a few years ago, it is a fantastic country, the culture and the food, the people are so lovely and friendly (driving in Delhi is certainly an experience)you enjoy it great video brings back a lot of memories.

Hi guys, what a nice video, great stuff. I bought a RE Classic 350 after you guys advising me to buy that as a first bike. I have the exact same green colorway. Thanks for the advise . Do you guys have some advise for luggage on this model ? Black ones in the videoa look great if you ask me, any idea of the brand ?
Awesome to hear, the luggage bags were handy but they were not the best as the lid for them did not cover adequately, don't know the brand of them. They are like an cheaper aftermarket one. Pretty sure that Royal Enfield do them and Trip Machine Company we know are very good 👍🏼
If you do visit Kerala, when trailing through forest regions don't ever stop. Possibility of encountering wild elephant, deers and hogs are really high. Tigers and leopards are a mild possibility too. Enjoy your visit!
