It wouldn't have been unusual to refer to a patty as a steak. So your point is pretty mute. In northern Italy they traditionally call hamburgers "Svizzere" meaning "a Swisser" as in "From Switzerland" that's because the dish traveled from Hamburg, to Switzerland, then entered Italy. They called it a "Swisser" because that's where they imagined it came from. Later on the Americans brought the word hamburger. If the dish derived directly from America you wouldn't have this history

White chocolate isn’t chocolate, that’s just how it is. Why would having a seed makes something not a fruit? Every fruit has seeds, that’s the whole reason for fruits to exist.
