    This is not a fix. Just a description of the problem. Is there a way to automatically generate repeated frames like in Premiere Pro? I do edit a lot of livestreams where there often are no extra frames available. In Premiere Pro no problem but in FCP and Resolve BIG problem!

      Move your cursor to the last frame of a clip and cut it, right click on the newly cut clip (to the right of your timeline) and click "change clip speed" and then tick "freeze frame". Now you have 99 percent of your original clip and a second clip that's a frozen still image of the last frame of your original clip that you can use as handles/buffer for the transitions. You may need to do this process again for your other clip you want the transition to go to but instead of the last frame being cut obviously cut the first frame of your second clip and repeat.
