The point about children coming from the same family and not achieving the same level of success despite equal opportunities is on point. My brother is a billionaire but he chose not to go to college and instead do business. My other siblings and I have degrees and other education past college but we've not been able to get to the heights he has. I have millions to invest, but I'm not a hustler or a risk taker so I'll never achieve what he's achieved. So, let's just accept that we can't all reach the top and support those who have reached there instead of stressing about it and feeling jealous.
I first watched Rina Hicks at Cleaning the Airwaves show. The content there is amazing, more than 6hrs interview. Watching that will give perspective and important background, plus her Money Wise channel, book and course. I've stalked her kabisa😂
EVERYONE NEEDS EASY STUFF, NJOO WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE DONKEY WORK --- HAUPENDWI NA YEYOTE KAMA HUNA CHOCHOTE --- JUST PICKING FROM HER INSISTING "NOT STARTUPS, NOT STARTUPS" (Good stuff Rina, u r sharpening us)
Having 10M in the bank account is not financial freedom, it's financial security. Freedom comes from having cashflow (passive income); Security comes from having cash
Dr. King'ori, honestly your content is above board Have you contemplated including an audience that can ask timely questions to the guests you host...because I always watch with a notebook but pia weka audience where we can channel our questions and pia tubariki na live shows ndo we engage the experts and the expertise they avail in all those sessions...Asante
Dr Kingori, in your next interviews, kindly ask if there's something they did that they are not very proud of, but they had to do it to achieve their dreams.
Thank you so much Dr.King'ori for bringing Rina and the rest to teach us more about investments and money,am also happy you do lower your questions to a layman's language
The more you ģive the more you receive, God is the one who gives wealth. God wants us to help the less fortunate because , God Has trusted us with wealth thus we are stewards . Very inspiring and educative show. Thank you
Wow,thanks, and what an eye-opener on how to evaluate and manage money 💰 🤑 and I'd love to have those classes and meeting and getting more help as myself and as a family, if possible...😊
Just like Elijah was told by God that he wasn't the only remaining prophet of GOD and that HE had others hidden elsewhere. This isn't the most accurate comparison but could be likened to what Dr. King'ori has been doing. He is bringing Kenya's brightest minds to share their wisdom with us to help us make informed decisions. I am very thankful for these videos you have been putting up and they'll prove to be the lifeline of Kenya's success.
Interesting conversation here. At time 1:15:13, I think if you have 500K as a lumpsum and Mike contributes 2K per month and both of you need to withdraw the money in 20 years, you'll have more than Mike considering the compounding interest. Take an example, if the annual interest is 10% then you'll have 550K while Mike will have Kes. 26,400. Hence, 50K and 2.4K p.a. Eventually, 500K wins over the period if they start at the same time and maintain.
Here in America they charge you a penalty and take out 20% in taxes if you withdraw money from your 401k before age 59 or 62. This discourages people from withdrawing. I've been saving a little money every month and its grown to over 100k just through the power of compounding. I wish companies in Kenya can introduce the penalty and tax system to our retirement investments so people can have something left to see them through their old age.
@@Holysimba21 its not the banks that do it, its the government that will tax you. This is something they do to discourage early withdrawal. Its like a forced savings. Just like the social security account which cannot be touched until after retirement. The only difference is that the money grows since its invested in bonds, shares, etc
How about seeing government as the biggest investor in a nation In that it invests in its people by providing healthcare, education and infrastructure; and consequently the people are better able to engage in economic activities that can create wealth and prosperity.
Dr King'ori please consider inviting Leonard and Emily Mcharo, the co-founders of Tsavo Real Estate to teach us about doing business as a couple, achieving financial freedom, and building generational wealth
Government prints reserves not M2 money chasing goods and services. Banks have a lot to do with money creation(“printing “)through lending. Look up the charts of bank credit and the charts of M2 money supply and compare that to the Central banks balance sheet chart for reference.
'A good man should leave inheritance for his children children'.. we are willing to do that but our parents never left us inheritance and still want us to pay them hefty black tax. You may wonder what they've been doing all their entire lives
To be fair they were likely paying school fees for 4 / 5 / 6 children into their late fifties or even 60s (especially the men with their endless side babies and secret families, but none of these financial conversations talks about this 😂😂), supporting relatives, building that huge house in the village, and all the other interesting financial decisons we make. Maybe they also had medical issues to deal with, and as you know health insurance is still a thing for the privileged few. In short, they did the best they could with the information they had, given the circumstances they found themselves in. Don't ask what they were doing, if you were in their position with the same information, maybe your children would be asking you the same question. Be the one who breaks the chain and starts a new thing.
Plus again every year money to pay debt both domestic and foreign is usually budgeted for the government will not default. They are a low risk forms of invesments.
