I'm a supervisor in the U.S so I also get to review job applications. Sometimes we review over 50 applications for one job opening One thing I would advise everyone to do when applying for remote jobs is to look at the job description, and make sure you include to include the top five job requirements in your resume and cover letter. These days A.I sifts through applications before the get to the person who decides whether or not you meet the criteria. A.I uses key words to make that decision. The organization i work has only about 15% remote jobs and they hire mostly people in America, so I'm just giving you a heads up.
What she is saying is 100% true, I had been looking forward for flexibility and that is what remote work gives you, some companies hire even less experienced people for like $5 per hour for call center jobs etc , the market is competitive but I like how Kenyans hear of an opportunity and grab it. To anyone reading this, go ahead and try remote work even with your diploma or certificate or even high school cert, it is possible. Go on RUclips for basic skills then apply for that job. All the best.
very cool interview.....As a remote worker and freelancer, I hear you! I think there is too much gatekeeping in this space. Glad to see you sharing the knowledge
Please help me connect to an online job. I have been jobless for 4yrs with children in school just being helped by well wishers here and there.please please help.
Thanks a lot Lynn and Lorraine. Please sponsor me, am in dire need of a job, I have a nanny whom have been with me for 10 years and don't want to release her because she has kids whom we have been assisting with fees but right now am straining because its only my husband who is having source of income. Have always been praying that by the time my nanny is leaving I be stable inorder to set up a business for her. The bond they have with my kids its just so amazing, she is a second mum to my kids. Her kids and mine are best friends.
This is so true , Her story relates to mine. The day I received this invitation for an interview I went to LinkedIn then found out around 20 People from Kenya working with this International Corporate . My interview would take like 4 months of interviews 😂 Lynn I watch you daily working from home . Whatever she is saying is 100% true . Work-life balance , red flags , and everything else 🎉🎉
It pains when you have close people who do this but cant help. Been jobless for 5 years ,i have wifi and laptop ready to put in the work. Lynn, i plead for this opportunity. I will be of help to others to. Bless you for this interview. 🙏
Generation Kenya teaches this skills.. virtual assistant, digital marketing, transcription, translation and editing.. graphic design.. ,data analysis, and it's only 3k and afterwards they find employment for you after the training
As a remote worker, I consistently aim for tasks within my expertise, ensuring successful completion. Over the past five years, my remote work has consistently provided a six-figure income each month. I have no complaints about the results.
@@LaurineChepkorir I use Fiverr and Upwork. I have been using them for the longest time possible. They pay well if you complete the programming tasks well as per the customers' requests.
Good to see more people opening up to the possibilities of remote work. I'm now in my 13th year as a remote software developer and i have no regrets. It has been more fulfilling that any "traditional" job that i would have had.
Lynn please consider me for that masterclass.. Am a single mother of 50yrs and still struggling with the post covid layoffs.. Will highlight appreciate..God bless
This is a very good one, i wish Kenyans can unite and uplift each other in search for jobs, I have been working without pay for several months now its the time to try this, Cheers Guys
This is informative for our African youth, they are very clever and resourceful. Lynn ❤ I love how asked the questions that everyone wanted to ask. Another great episode. 🙌 from South Africa 🇿🇦
Thank you Lynn and Lorraine for doing the Lord's work, this is a very timely conversation, especially during these uncertain times when job hunting seems so daunting. Can't wait to watch the whole video and write down some important notes! 😁
Remote work has been in my heart since 2020, never gotten a breakthrough. This is so enlightening and timely..I would appreciate the sponsorship for the masterclass truly. Thank you both
Thankyou so much Lynn for bringing her to this platform,I'm not a social medial person but youtube is my 2nd home,i wanted to have an exit plan from my job and now i got one,im so ready to sacrifice and dedicate myself to this
What a wholesome video..thank you. Lorraine and Lynn for this..just when I'm searching for remote work amd being jobless for years. I enjoy writing and remote work would be great as II raise my newborn. That master class would come in handy.❤
iam looking for a remote job too. becausse of its flexibility... i resigned from my job because of my little girl.. its was so stressful that it affected my productivity at work. Iam good at customer service because i used to a sales engineer and i really enjoyed it.
Thank you Lynn and we really appreciate our today's guest. A person willing to give information without gate keeping. With such precious souls in the society we must flourish!.
Thank you Lynn for bringing Lorraine to have this interview with you. I have been following her for a while and I started applying for remote jobs. I have attended a few interviews and currently at an advanced stage with a US based company.
Thank you Lynn and Lorraine for bringing up this. I already see myself as a successful remote worker after listening to this, educating other people looking for online jobs and telling them that one eye opening tip that I found from seeing the Lynn Ngugi show 😀😀😀. Though that's how I see myself every time I teach myself another skill that will help in online work or trying a new online job. But I know this time it will be different, I will be successful this time. God will help me and everyone who is trying remote working or any other kind of online job🙏🙏🙏
Remote work is real. 2021-2022 I worked for a US research company that I came across online as I digged for info for remote jobs. I was pretty surprised a no of Kenyans were working there.
Remote work is indeed the future! I've been working remotely as a virtual assistant since 2016 and in 2018 I quit my engineering job to work online full-time!
Would love to delve into this topic. Mental health ought to be prioritized because, without it, you risk it affecting your employees' productivity and overall company's bottom line
This was so insightful. Remote work has been a game changer for me factoring in my visual impairment and being there to look after my babies. One thing I would say though is, it's a bit more challenging finding an employer who is fully inclusive and equipped to accommodate people with disabilities as this is an area that is often forgotten about in DEI. That's why heads of People need to seek out employees with lived experience of Disabilities to make sure that the work environment is truly inclusive, especially for remote work as it is the main choice for us for many reasons. Fantastic content as always 👏🏿👏🏿
I couldn't agree more. Yes, creating systems and accommodations for visually impaired candidates can be a heavy investment for the companies but in light of DEI and its accomplishments, it is possible. Thank you for sharing ☺❤
Good girl! well put and all true 100%. I work remotely and it's awesome. EDI is something we lack in our workplace environment. Just like you, I now feel Seen and Heard. I have never missed a school function or meeting at my son's school because of work or because a boss denied me permission. And, the money is good. Lakini hapo kwa age.....am in 5th floor and work remotely. More Success to you Lorraine!
Wow, I just love this lady's aggressiveness...I met her when I was an intern at MRM between 2020 & 2021... amazing, awesome...I would also wish to venture on the same
I have really liked the convo, I have been struggling for this but I never had anyone to guide me do it, I found I was doing things which were never recognised by the employer. I really would like to have this offer so that in future I can be in a position to guide others who are struggling with remote work. Thank you so much Lynn for such amazing shows. I can request if possible I get to be sponsored for the CV creation. I will really appreciate it.
Hey Lynn, this has been a very impactful episode. I am an Actuarial science graduate been looking for jobs since 2019. I'd be willing to take a master class on remote work
What an amazing discussion.i've listened with my husband😊 please sponsor my husband who lost his job in Jan and has been sending applications and getting regrets. i have been wondering how to support him through this tough season as I'm also 8 months pg.This kind offer will really be of great encouragement to him and who knows,God will open a door for him to work remotely.Amen
You are a blessing to your husband, trust me he is blessed to have you as a supportive wife. May God open opportunities for him and your family. Keep the faith, stay blessed.
I love the content ❤️,big up Lynn 👌. But my problem is that I ended up liking the person giving the content. I liked Lorraine for real, she's a super woman. Kuomoka lazima though ✌️.

Watching this on 26th March, 2024...Lynn, may God bless you Tml... Lorraine, you're God sent, today of all days i needed this information...see you at the top one day
Consultancy remotely or face to face calls for high discipline and great accountability. Most people do not have this kind of discipline. It is not for everybody. 500k is on the lower side in the world of consultancy; Entry level. Higher earnings are possible. God bless your push and hustle.
This interview has been so informative. It's impressive to experience how smart Lorraine is and how generous she is with such valuable information. I really would like to start the recruitment process and hopefully get a great remote job. Kindly sponsor me to get my CV reviewed in order for it to be ATS compliant. Thankyou so much
Lynn, i cannot that you enough for this particular interview. There was a deep need in me to find authentic sites and genuine people who've actually benefited from remote work. You nailed it 😉. Someone noticed Lorraine's posture😮? She's composed, her back well arched throughout the interview.. how professional? I am wooooowed🎉
Thank you Lynn for bringing this to us your subscribers❤. Scepticism of remote work as shared by Lorraine has hold back alot of talents to explore. Consultancy remotely or face to face calls for high discipline and great accountability. Most people do not have this kind of discipline. It is not for everybody.
500k is on the lower side in the world of consultancy; Entry level. Higher earnings are possible. God bless your push and hustle.
