Great footage thanks, I’ve just ordered this camcorder and hope to have it in a day or two, and I know it’s not the latest but the spec is neatly as good as later models and has the same sensor. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for the comment. Indeed, a very good camera with great low light capabilities - you won't regret the purchase. Come back a post a link once you publish your first video made with this camera.
Thank you, Mike! I choose XA50 based on technical specifications and performance, but also according to my budget and my needs (I bought 2). If you need to go for 60fps @ 4k, HDR recording or something else that XA50 is not doing, maybe XF 605 is the camcorder to go.
I have used the Canon XF300 for wedding videos, and this XA50 looks good in low light and could work for video in wedding halls etc. I am wondering the difference between XA50 and new XA70. Impressive low light in 4K.

Quite impressed by the image quality for a 1 inch sensor - thanks.
Indeed, very good camera, professional class.
Thanks for the video. Pretty impressed with how it captures low light footage! Doesn't look very noisy
You welcome! Indeed, very clean considering the low level of the light, it's a very good camera.
Have you tried the XA60?
@@UNOM No but I own the XA50 now and Its a great cam
@@CarrsonHI am the XA20 and would like to keep the 20X zoom but the 50 and 70 have larger sensors.

Great test, thanks!
Thank you!
Great video, but I have to ask do you regret not getting the XF605, I am considering the XA50 or the XF605?
Mike

By looking at the specs of the XA70, I don't see anything spectacular nor differences... I wonder if it's a marketing move only.
This type of picture quality I am not getting
Try using the same settings as me (see in the upper right corner of the video).
