- On May 26, 2023 in Florida, officers were called to a local Walmart after a woman was seen skip-scanning merchandise in the self-checkout area. When officers arrived, the woman was still inside the store, so they went to confront her. This is footage of the events that followed.

This "skip scanning" could be easily stopped by having CASHIERS AGAIN!
There is no need to worry; there are cashiers or sales associates manning the pay registers. They are in no way being removed [from Walmart].
13 with only 2 open
Amen to that. But yet the store will have 20 unattended cash registers.
@@sandmantk4901 Maybe so, maybe no. If so, the self-pay registers will co-exist with the manned cost registers. If no, the pay lanes will be all gone.
We don't even know if she skipped scanning all we have is this guy said she was. The cop should be fired. She didn't steal anything until the checkout was complete

"You can't charge me with drugs because that isn't why you arrested me in the first place". Girl is an absolute disaster.
drugs and alcohol is ruining these ppl to think. imagine being caught shoplifting and not taking responsibility for your stupidity.
No, she was still operating under the assumption that they couldn’t actually charge a shoplifting because she didn’t finish checking out and never left the store with any items. But having on camera and the loss prevention officer acknowledging that she would wrap items up in other items, and then scan the one item is enough to indicate she was going to steal, so they were still good in the shoplifting, despite what she thought. So at the time she was thinking, they’re gonna try to make the primary charge drugs and ignore the shoplifting but that’s not what they’re doing. It’s just a secondary charge added search incident to arrest at this point.
So I mean, they were definitely in the right, but it would’ve been so much cleaner to just let her finish and walk out
belive it or not she can get away with it cus if u ask a layer thay tell u theft is when u step out the door without paying but if ur still in the store then thay cant charge u with theft not even if u puting things in ur pockets thats not theft not intell u step out the door without paying intell then its 100% legal

I’ve seen this happen at a store in Miami. The customer was elderly and store employee was helping her cash out. No sooner had she paid and walked away the alarm went off. It always astounds me that people don't realize that there are cameras everywhere.
Ya I don’t understand, at our local Walmart you can see yourself on the camera that’s pointed over your head. And that’s just one camera, I’m sure there’s several. Also both sides of the register are scales , so if you don’t scan something the scales will pick it up. Sensitive enough to know when a paper bag is placed on it.
For real I had one think I stole when I put a piece of paper on it, just had to have someone look at it and I was good.
They think just bc the associate that is supposed to be watching isn't paying attention that nobody else is like the people in the office watching the cameras. The associates there are there to help void things or check ID and stuff like that not necessarily to watch that everyone scans every item

I can't stand it when people swear on SOMEONE ELSE'S life when they know that they are ball face lying! Like why would you put a curse on a loved one's life. Put that curse on yourself! 😡
In 10 years he'll be the same, "Yo! I swear on my baby mama's life those aren't my drugs, dawg!"
But he has to be raised by her🥺😳😱🤯
@@dritzzdarkwood4727hopefully that won’t happen. 🙏🏽
The internet is eternal. I pity her kid.
Being caught stealing in public is one of the most humiliating, embarrassing loser things you can ever experienced
How do you know this?
experience ... lol
I would bet it is.
Meanwhile the top 20 companies earn hundreds of billions of dollars per year and pay no tax, underpay workers, shift profits off shore, exploit child workers and live a life of luxury paid for by everyone else.
@@chuckfindlaydangershow5640stop stealing 😂
I love the officer just kicking her slippers around lmao
“I’m gonna use every card I fuckn can!!!!” That tells you all you need to know about this “victim”.
Imagine having to deal with people like this daily
I can't. Hurts my head.🤨
cops really go through it all
As someone who used to work at Walmart I hate that when they get caught under scanning their items they immediately say "i have the money to pay for them" well if you have the money why were you under scanning the items in the first place.
So true
This should be obvious but...
Because I didn’t want the product so I set aside, just like when you tell a cashier the same thing.
It was a long time ago (pre-internet), but I had a criminal psych class in college. I want to say that the figure was upwards of 80% of people had enough cash on them to pay for the items they were accused of stealing. So forget about using that as a legal defense.
They have the money, they just don't want to spend it!
Boy she's a big brain, in her mind.
The cop just looks at the sandal and kicks it all the way. 😂
"You’re resisting....MY RIGHTS!!" Lmfaaaooo I'm sorry but that had me cracking up 😂😂😂
She's so MAGA.
@@bivvystridents3752are you fr?
@@bivvystridents3752that's a liberal. They're the only ones that act that way. MAGA are pro cops so they don't treat officers that way
let her Rights Go! ... Right now!
Same 🍺
Dang, the cops got there before she even finished checking out. That’s amazing.
That’s what shocked me too. She wasn’t even done committing the crime and the cuffs were going on. 😂
I thought you have to exist before, you could count it as theft, I was in retail for years and that was the law, because they could insist that they were going pay for the item.
@@rhondagrace1370Kind of hard to argue that when you are wrapping items within other items before scanning. And I've seen videos of people getting busted in-store with merchandise down their pants. I doubt that it has ever been necessary to leave for it to be considered theft.
Walmart theft prevention is no joke. The cameras alone can see just about everything and that's only one tool in their belt.

Many states now have "concealment" laws. So even the act of hiding something or putting it in your pocket is a crime. Mainly came about to circumvent the but I was gonna pay argument
THEN ALWAYS THAT ONE PERSON STANDING AND WATCHING . ITS HILARIOUS
Funny how she instantly knew what skip-scanning was. I bet most folks don;t
"I demand respect! Not the kind of respect I showed the store, or all its shoppers who have to pay more for stuff because of me, but the respect I think I deserve for being me!"
In what world because one person steals from Walmart you gonna have to pay more for your groceries ? You are confusing local shop with multi billion dollar corporation lol
I remember an interview of a homeless drug addled woman. She stated “corporations I steal from have millions of dollars so they aren’t hurting” . What this stupid woman didn’t realize is that law abiding customers are passed along the higher prices thanks to her and their stupidity.
I'm sure thats the reason why the cost of goods have gone up so much while our paychecks have stayed the same, petty theft. Certainly she is the evildoer responsible for higher grocery prices. Meanwhile traitors continue running our country - good thing our tax dollars are keeping us safe from this lady.
@@CosmicFlyer6263because she’s one of many, many. About 21% of merchandise is stolen daily. Who do you foot the bills for losing stuff they paid for, security agents et.
@@CosmicFlyer6263 too bad it isn’t just one person. It’s whole culture.
I like how people have to ask what they are being detained or arrested for *1000 times* despite being told *999 times*
I'd get in so much trouble as a cop, I'd finally yell "because you're stupid, that's why!"
They are actually having a drug addiction episode. They scream and cry because the body knows that they will be in jail for many hours and won’t be getting the next hit of the drug. That drug is telling them that they are floating away from the hit and the body is responding by crying out, realizing they’ll be in a concrete room with no drug. It’s really a sad picture we are seeing.
To be fair I didn’t hear you the other 999 times, I was to busy yelling and resisting arrest
Something about the officer just casually kicking her shoe down the sidewalk made me laugh
"You are resisting my rights" this line shows us exactly what she thinks rights are.
Yes, that WAS funny.
