  • In this video I go over my LS powered, one ton differential, rock crawlerish 1982 Jeep DJ5 "Postal Jeep." This jeep was featured in issue 61 of CRAWL magazine and has left its mark on the Jeep community. Many jeepers are well aware of this jeep and the nickname "Gone Postal. If you would like the full write up with a detailed breakdown, lookup NC4x4 and type in Gone Postal. Chad Edmonson with Edmonson Off Road (EOF) is the man who built this unit of a Jeep into what it is today, and I would like to give credit where it's due. Leave a comment below if you have any questions. It's time to haul the mail!

What an iconic Jeep. I'll have to work my way through the build sheets. Great overview though. I think it's found a great home.

Thanks! It’s definitely a unique and cool build. Hopefully with a baby on the way I still get to keep it. Fingers crossed lol

years ago i bought a 04 TJ right hand drive that i still have, its my daily. I just picked up a 76 DJ5 from a friend local, rebuilt engine, trans, new electrical and fuel and brake lines. i guess my thing are right hand drive jeeps now. i also have a CJ2A with a 327 sbc stuffed into it, i would rather have the 4 cyl back into it though. just sold my CJ7 to get this DJ5, Great work on your page, i will keep up with your stuff.

FYI, the leaf spring were originally Out Boarded on the DJ5s , “Standard” was supposed to give a little more stability. Who ever built this frame just expanded the width. Thank you , Gives me some ideas for my own 1971 DJ5 Jeep. It’s still stock with the original GM-153 4 cylinder and 2-speed power-glide transmission.

I'm a long time subscriber, and a TJ guy, and recently bought a JKUR, but it's your CJ7 that lured me to your channel. I love all your Jeeps you've presented on your channel. I'm wondering if you still own all of them. If so, what a nice collection you are accumulating.

Thanks! I need to do an update video on my CJ7. Out of all the Jeeps it’s my favorite. It’s the only one that I personally built. I started building it 9 years ago in college and quickly realized I could buy an already built Jeep for a lot less money.
I sold the Willys CJ2A. It wish I could have kept it but I didn’t have the garage space for 4 Jeeps. Currently I’ve got the CJ7, LJR (TJUR) and the newest addition the postal Jeep. I’m fortunate to be able to collect all these Jeeps. One day I’d like to build a bigger garage and get a couple more, but who knows if that’ll happen.
