The song aged like fine wine.
So did he, no idea he was 30+
@@RB2013-jj7kqumm he looks 31 why do people think 30 year olds are like geriatric smh he just left his 20s. It’s still plenty young.
@@QueenBihOfTheInternet because they are? The only people who don't think that are people who are 30+ 🤣🤣🤣
@@RB2013-jj7kq are you 12 ? a 31yo man is not supposed to look old
tik tok ruined the song for me. I used to like it but now that ive heard it excessively on tiktok I cant enjoy it anymore. I just want to scream when I hear it
I'm so proud that his music is finally getting the recognition it deserves! Now go on and give us a tour, boy!
FINALLY people are talking about DJO it's great!! Time for a tour after ST5
He can sing. He can write. He can act. He's funny and seems like a really good dude.
Man this guy is awesome. One of the most talented celebrities today.
Joe is a true artist. Djo is an amazing project. What a multi-talented gem.
10:32 is where they talk about “End of Beginning” :)
knowing of this album in senior year, to then revisiting it and falling in love with it after graduating; Decide has been a blessing.
i too was waiting for it senior year and im so glad it's getting out there after almost two years
been listening to him before decide came out and it's one of my favorite artists. happy joe's finally getting the recognition he deserves!
Omg same I didn’t even know it was him too
Chateau has been my jam for the last year and a half
Tik Tok is doing a really great Job for these Artists
The way I have been waiting for this interview....
incredible interview!!! you can tell Zane actually has respected for Joe as a musician and has an apperciation for his acting as well. And the way he separates them but gives both sides praise is lovely to see.
Bless the Spotify algorithm for introducing me to this song in 2022. It's terribly hard not to scream out "WHEN IM BACK IN CHICAGO I FEEL IT..."
Decide was my most-played album of 2022, such a great and easy listen
My favorite babysitter, ice cream seller, spree driver, and musician
we got djo press and a visualizer from this, im shook. hopefully a tour next
So glad Decide is getting the love it deserves
i really wish i came across djo a long time ago, his music just makes me feel so happy
For some reason this made me really emotional
I'm so fucking proud of him and so so happy he's getting the recognition he deserves
What a great interview, I didn't see the time pass at all
Thank you
been listening since 2022, so excited for him 🫶🏻 hoping this can bring him to finally tour
loved being able to watch decide and even twenty twenty’s evolution over the years. especially as a fan who has loved his stuff from the beginning, so seeing the growth is something i am so excited about.
The song is about how he dosnt want to just be "the guy from stranger things". The verse "enter Caroline", refrences how he didn't know he would get so famous in stranger things, he feels like it was a trick.
I’ve been listening to the whole album on repeat. I’m honestly obsessed with the sounds, the melodys, the themes, the hooks. So good ❤️
Such a good interviewer! Loved hearing from Joe.
EXCELLENT interview! And 'm so proud and happy for Joe.
This was such a good and insightful interview!! Zane is always the best at asking questions. I’m so happy for Joe and all the success this song has brought him!!
not a single skip on decide I SWEAR!!!! Certified bangerrrrr
Right!?!? I just tuned in to this for the first time and this guy interrupts his guests more than Jimmy Fallon
Came here for Joe and won't be back lol. Weird interviewer he's too perky
I was looking for this comment. He talks to much 😂😂😂
Happy to see his music getting more recognition. I’ve been listening since 2020!
Loved this interview!
Actually found out he played music while he was doing the media run/ interview for the last stranger things season and started listening to DJO. Decide is a great album.
God he’s so beautiful 😭
06:40 as someone who makes music in Ableton and is super inspired by Djo, I loved hearing this!! Masterpiece of an album, had been waiting for this interview
this song has been my soul for awhile now and now it’s getting its recognition!
So thankful for Joe and the band. Love the music. Over the moon that I was introduced to it just 1 week ago. Congratulations on all your success Djo 🎉
I love every song on this album. It’s so good!!
Beat interview ever!
I’m so proud of you 😭
i performed this song with my band. Never thought it would blow up. I'm so happy for him.
some simply fantastic, thoughtful questions asked by the host here. First time watching the show, i'll be watching more. Cheers mate, great podcast
Omg I didn’t know it was his song I discovered it two days ago and I’ve been playing it like a crazy person😭😭😭I literally thought it’s a 80’s song it’s sooo timeless wow
hearing this interpretation of the song makes me love it so much more.
Had no clue he was the stranger things guy omg
ive been hearing it like 10 times a day
yo apple has the best interviewers I swear.
Steve❤❤
he's find as he'll... i won't him 😻🙈
Decide is incredible but Twenty-Twenty was the soundtrack to my summer a few years ago and it’ll always hold a special place ❤
He deserves all of his flowers!!!
Part of the 2022 fam😅, Chateau got me hooked. Glad to see my boi is getting his recognition.
joe keery folks 👏👏👏
It’s really just an excuse to hang out with friends is so underrated. It’s just like jamming together making music like making coffee for breakfast
I listened to this album for like 3 days straight
i absolutely love the attention hes been getting as a musician.
I just do not believe DJO is my Stranger Things guy! CHOCKED
*Well this is a pleasant surprise*
Let's go Joe ❤
What video and song are they talking about at the beginning? Weezer? I hear "Rivers". Laundry room?
Twenty twenty and decide are the best albums oh my god
How have I been listen to Djo for so long and not know it was him😂
Bro if yall just now heard of djo
Welcome
does anyone know what mic they are using?
What’s the song they’re talking about at the start of the video?
Whats the song they are talking about in the start?
I didn’t know he was a singer 😮😮
He’s so cute btw 😊❤
Just finished watching this and omg I have a lot to say so brace yourselves for what’s basically a huge comment:
Djo (Joe Keery) is one of my all time favorite artists and I’m so glad to hear him talk more about his music in interviews aside from his acting career (even if I already love him in my favorite show: Stranger Things and decided to follow him from there on this music journey!)
Anyway, his music is exactly the type of music I like listening to, which I can’t believe actually exists, and I genuinely believe that it came at the right time of my life when I needed it the most (2019 aka when he literally started as a solo artist after departing from Post Animal, which is still a great band to listen to, by the way, so I highly recommend listening to the band if anyone hasn’t yet!)
Also, I just love how he delves into topics/lyrics that aren’t very common in songs and it just resonates a lot with what I think about sometimes. I truly believe that Joe is in his element when he makes music and I love listening to his thought process when it comes to making it.
This was such a fun listen and Zane Lowe always asks the best questions in his interviews and podcast with musicians! I’m already looking forward to Djo’s third album! I can’t even begin to express how many times I’ve listened to both Decide and Twenty Twenty! 😭❤️
Edit: OKAY YEAH I THINK THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE INTERVIEW OF HIS OMG I’M OBSESSED WITH EVERYTHING DISCUSSED HERE AND I’M SO HAPPY THAT “ON AND ON” WAS MENTIONED OMG THAT’S MY FAVORITE SONG OF HIS (Zane, you better get Joe back for more interviews whenever he releases something omg I need so much more content with you guys!! The energy within your dynamic was just so there 🥰)
this comment is incredible and i totally, wholeheartedly agree. just. all of it. everything u said. his music is like nothing else in the world, it's a whole universe, and it's so introspective and engaging and yeah man, genuinely u Nailed it, love ur thoughts on this! 💙
@@ewllen808 thank you so much for your kind words!! ❤️❤️ And I agree with you on how his music is introspective because it really makes you think about the world around you
HALLELUJAH
What song are they talking about in the beginning?
I’ve been a huge fan of his since he was in Post Animal!!!! If anyone loves decide, give twenty twenty a try and Post Animals earlier music :)

Who gives AF button ---->
@@LordGrendel clearly you do if you responded hahahahaah butthurt
tik tok is helping artists getting recognized and the US is trying to ban it🤦♀️
So sad😥
It's a good thing he's a successful actor because TikTok exposure doesn't pay bills or feed musicians
@@liamjenkins244 is it banned in us already or in the process?
You’re putting TikTok trending over national security lmao
Oh is this Steve of Stranger Things? Darn dude 😮😮😮
i love apple anti repair policies, comments being turned off under their main channel and police guarding theirs stores in new york.
I remember Fantano called the record reductive and it broke my heart at the time
In which video?
he sure has his opinions

When/where? On stream?
@@IA-qs9mi I watched the yunoreview about it and he actually said Djo was much better than most actor musicians and that if he keeps his pace he could become a serious and important artist
HE NEEDS TO GO ON TOUR
what song / band are they talking about in the beginning of the video?
I’m pretty sure it was say it ain’t so by wheezer
@@abbiebrowne9781 thanks so much!! what a cool song and music vid!
this is absolutely insane to me in the best way. i'm trying to find a way to articulate how it feels without sounding like the world's biggest asshole, but i can't find the words to describe what this album has meant to me since i first heard it in... october 2022? and that's Rare for me, to be so, idk, early for something i guess, but it's such a personal, introspective, isolated experience of an album that i felt like i was living inside of it for so long. and like, as a rule i don't go on tiktok anymore, so i haven't seen the hype, just seen djo talking about it and the recent releases and interviews but just knowing that people are experiencing this entire universe i've been living in so long in such a vibrant, internal way is WILD. i kind of thought everyone must've heard it, that /everyone/ must be experiencing it the same way i have, all at the same time. it's kind of embarrassing to even attempt to articulate just what i experienced with this album (sober, i might add). totally crazy, totally surreal, i can't imagine what he must be feeling right now. he created something that didn't just burrow into my brain but pulled me into a mind of its own. forever one of my favourite albums of all time, i can't imagine ever falling out of love with it, and i love twenty twenty as well, and i truly can't wait to see what he does next, i'm enthralled by everything he creates. incredible artist, incredible mind 💙
same here!!! i was obsessed when it first came out and now that everyone is in love with it is crazy because i'm over here like yo i've BEEN in love with this album for over a year and a half now
END of BEGINNING! ☝️
0:27 what song are they talking about
End of Beginning?
They’d just played Say it ain’t so by Wheezer I’m pretty sure
these interviews are always just zane lowe being overstimulating with his guests tryna keep up 🧎

…..what the actual heck…. Dude from ST??? I’ve had this song for so long and had no clue.
Same I only found out a few days ago that Keys from Free Guy is a singer.
that was my reaction to finding out the lead character from 13 reasons why is also the singer of the band Wallows lol
@@devinthomas5593 i just love bands where the lead singers are on wildly popular netflix tv shows and nobody realises

Hmmm...its not about you Zane. Loved hearing Joe, when he got a word in.👏
This is why we shouldn't ban tiktok
it is so annoying that zane keeps talking about it like it came out 20 years ago or sth
dude is surprised that a good song became a hit hehe…..dude is surprised n Joe is super cool lol
is zane coked?
Laundry?😮😅 Cocaine is running higher to someone veins 😂😂😂😂😂
I love you djo but god this interviewer is unbearable
why?? he seems to be quite popular for an interviewer😅
Dude. Let your interviewee speak!! I would have loved to hear a ton more from him, but you just kept cutting him off, speaking over him.. it's super cringey 😬
Had no idea it was him wtf
I love seeing Djo get noticed more. 🤌🏻
I've been listening to Djo for awhillllee now and had no idea it was Joe Keery 😐🤨🫢😦
