@@MichaelAngeloo0 I started with beginners method, obviously then after 2 weeks I started with beginners f2l, then soon after 2 look OLL then 2 look pll, around sub 25- sub 20 I learned full PLL, and over time full OLL. Cross I just didn’t use timed inspection, I tried to plan an efficient cross as fast as possible
@@JPerm Having been following so many of your reviews (thank you) and trying your RS3 setup, I'm pretty sure that between us, you'll probably want it slowed down just a titch more than I. It'll be interesting to hear how much you end up cranking it down. I found by way of a depth gauge that the factory setup was not that consistent, but then it's hard to claim that a depth gauge measurement is all that great when measuring off the flange of the spindle screws and that blue plastic piece. But you will definitely want to go tighter. And, do pull out your usual lubes. I'm forgoing the Lunar lube for now, but definitely have the Stardust in. Thanks again.
BTW, labels on my old WRM's have been delaminateing and pealing, leaving a sticky sticker. I've put tape over them. The the WRM v9 BC has a printed label _THAT IS UNDER THE UV COATING. LUV IT_

4:00 If you chose the qualifying mode it could've been way better since rather than waiting it puts you into a 1v1 pretty much instantly. The winner gets awards and you rank up like that. I also think that they should rename the games and make the qualifying called duels or something. Hope that helps!
The main reason for me to get a GAN smart cube was the good algorithm practise + discovery tool But Jperm is right about the flimsy feel of this cube. My main problem were corner twists, which happened way to often

I use the GAN I Carry pretty often. I definitely agree with your assessment that if it isn't good enough to be your main what's really the point and it definitely sucks out of the box. Per Cameron's advice I messed with the set up of the cube and immediately saw a huge improvement. I also added some lunar(make sure it's a silicone based lube or you'll fry the electronics). I immediately smoked my PB 3 times in a row after that. I have most flagship cubes and typically use the Tornado V3 Pioneer as my main atm and it definitely holds all my current PBs(after lots of set up, was WAY to fast and uncontrollable out of the box for me). I guess to paraphrase, set up the I Carry and give it another chance. It's definitely not the best cube but I still use it to practice very often and it's fun to do the weekly timed competition. I've seen Tymon and a few other record holders on there. Also, a huge selling point is the price. It's crazy affordable for a smart cube and a GAN cube. With proper set up, it feels similar but heavier to my GAN 11 M Duo.
@@zirbengeist5317 I've been debating getting one. I just have so many cubes right now. Lol. I've been doing a lot of bigger cubes lately. Really loving my YJ MGC big cubes, currently love doing 5x5. Is it more akin to the GAN 12 MagLev? I wasn't a fan of it and sold mine. I much prefer the 11 M Duo and Pro as well as the 356 XS. If it performs like that, I might just have to hop on one. The I Carry, IMHO is great though for someone just getting into Speed Cubing or intermediate even. Having access to constant competing causes me to solve far more times a day.
The WRM v9 ball core, for me setting it up just required turning the screws tighter by one full turn and then changing the tightness by 4 clicks. I will say that the out-of-box experience was terrible but after you break it in, lube it up and tighten it, it's the best cube on the market. I used to main the tornado V3 and I still use it for blind but yeah the WRM V9 is just incredible.
Yes, that's not too bad. Especially since Gc is bad, you can use the lefty version of the Ga alg for Gc. However, Gb and Gd are both good algs. If you mirror, only do it for Gc.
I also got the wrm v9 bc and it feels so good. You need to make sure the compression is high and add some lube. I used cubicle lube but speedcubeshop lube also works great. When you set it up, it feels sooo much better than stock.

WRM V9 ball core is so good, my new main, I don’t think there will ever be a cube that turns and feels as good as that one. I have it set up with scs galaxy and lunar and it’s very balanced
@@Ki1ler_Kitten_ I got galaxy bc it seemed more balanced but it’s fs a slower one that offers more control. Lunar is def the go-to for balance with a bias towards speed

My wife got me the 356 icarry for Christmas. The app was so hard to download but i like it a lot. I had the exact same issues with the cube though and it made me not want to use it. And it's loud 😂 So now it just sits on my desk.
I’d recommend trying the GAN i3 as well because it’s a better version. It could be cool to have a vid with the whole GAN smart cube setup(robot, timer, mat, i3, cool stand)
I think Jperm is purposefully trying to put me asleep with that background music, and I can see why, he is hoping that I have autoplay on, so that while I'm sleeping his videos can keep on playing while I'm asleep. Pretty cool strategy I'm be honest.

Bruh I still average 18-21 seconfs
Just finished setting up my WRM v9 BC, and it's already my favorite, even over all my GAN's. But, I did have to tighten up the tensions considerably.
I got mine a couple of days ago. Absolutely love it
It is definitely one of the most unique feeling cubes i've ever used. I'm still messing with the settings to get it to be consistent for me though.

I guess to paraphrase, set up the I Carry and give it another chance. It's definitely not the best cube but I still use it to practice very often and it's fun to do the weekly timed competition. I've seen Tymon and a few other record holders on there.
Also, a huge selling point is the price. It's crazy affordable for a smart cube and a GAN cube. With proper set up, it feels similar but heavier to my GAN 11 M Duo.

Is it more akin to the GAN 12 MagLev? I wasn't a fan of it and sold mine. I much prefer the 11 M Duo and Pro as well as the 356 XS. If it performs like that, I might just have to hop on one. The I Carry, IMHO is great though for someone just getting into Speed Cubing or intermediate even. Having access to constant competing causes me to solve far more times a day.

The WRM v9 ball core, for me setting it up just required turning the screws tighter by one full turn and then changing the tightness by 4 clicks. I will say that the out-of-box experience was terrible but after you break it in, lube it up and tighten it, it's the best cube on the market. I used to main the tornado V3 and I still use it for blind but yeah the WRM V9 is just incredible.
Hello, I hate making out of context comments, but do you think using mirror Ga and Gb for Gc and Gd good enough or is there a faster alg?
Yes, that's not too bad. Especially since Gc is bad, you can use the lefty version of the Ga alg for Gc. However, Gb and Gd are both good algs. If you mirror, only do it for Gc.

I also got the wrm v9 bc and it feels so good. You need to make sure the compression is high and add some lube. I used cubicle lube but speedcubeshop lube also works great. When you set it up, it feels sooo much better than stock.

WRM V9 ball core is so good, my new main, I don’t think there will ever be a cube that turns and feels as good as that one. I have it set up with scs galaxy and lunar and it’s very balanced

RUclips has a bad habit of not notifying when jperm uploads.
My wife got me the 356 icarry for Christmas. The app was so hard to download but i like it a lot. I had the exact same issues with the cube though and it made me not want to use it. And it's loud 😂 So now it just sits on my desk.
I’d recommend trying the GAN i3 as well because it’s a better version. It could be cool to have a vid with the whole GAN smart cube setup(robot, timer, mat, i3, cool stand)
