- Sometimes it's quicker and simpler to just tie some flowers together for a design that's really useful in certain situations, and none could be more true than this effective pew end design. In this video we show you how to arrange the flowers in your hand, and to finish it off with a bow and tails. The beauty of this is that you can make multiples quickly and keep them in water until required. The effect is pretty, informal and floral - just perfect for going down the aisle.
Ingredients - large headed roses, lisianthus or eustoma, ranunculus, gypsophilia, salal and eucalyptus.

That's an interesting topic! Even more interesting would be to see how to tie it to a church pew.

Very well explained, simple & easy.
Beautiful floral arrangement.
Just subscribed 👍
Love it 😊
Lovely, I like them without water tubes. People need to realize some wedding flowers will die that evening.
That is true - they just need to be good on the day 😀
simple and very nice ^^
Tied pew end is very simple
Wow
HI! I love you teeth as a hand ;). what length/yardage of ribbon for each chocolate box bow?
We need more chair / pew decor maybe something hanging?
Kelsey Clarke ok - that’s a good suggestion 🙋🏼♂️😀
Please and thank you!!! I learning lots and absolutely love the look of a good chair flower arrangements keep up the good work thank you again!
Hi there, thanks for the tip! How wide should the ribbon be?
Hi there! The wider the ribbon the harder it is to tie nicely, but you can use a wide ribbon as the bow and use a narrower version to tie it off. There’s not a ‘right’ width I’m afraid, just see what you can find, and which ones you like! For the tie ribbon then 1 cm or I inch is a good guide.
@@FlowerJoos oh I see, how wide was the ribbon in the video? It looks nice!
@@katrinapschan this is 2 inch / 5 cm wide - that’s a nice width for a pew end
Awesome John, you know so much!!! and how many days in advance I can get the flowers? Lets say if my wedding is on a Saturday afternoon, could i buy the flowers on the previous Wednesday (4 days before) and keep the flowers in water, then prepare the pew ends and my bouquet on Thursday (as Friday is bank holiday here) so I dont want to chance it. Please let me know also how is best to keep the flowers fresh :) Thank you very much.
CC yes, buy them on the Wednesday is fine. Then you can make them on the Thursday or Friday. Best to let them have a good drink and condition before making up the items. After making leave the stems longer than finally needed and keep somewhere cool in water up to the tie point. Then finish off on the day - the bouquet with ribbon and cut the stems to the length you want, and the pew ends place in situ that morning. They will be out of water but okay for the ceremony as they are nicely hydrated 😀🙋🏼♂️
@@FlowerJoos Thanks a lot! I assume it is the same principle for the bridal bouquet 😀x
CC yes, ideally I would make that on the Friday. If you use materials that will change ie tulips that grow towards the light, then either keep the bouquet in a dark place or make on the Friday afternoon. Send us some pictures 🙋🏼♂️😀
@@FlowerJoos I will do! 😀 thank you John
Do they need to be put out on the day of the wedding or will they last for one day?
They are best placed on the day or the wedding - but can be premade and kept 8n water a day or so before. Essentially though they are out of water - so maybe in winter or when it’s cool then they could be placed the night before, but I always set them up on the day.
Hope that helps 😀🌼
What size ribbon is that, and can you also do this with fake flowers
Hello! I’m not entirely sure the size as this was a while ago but I think 50mm / 2 inch - and yes, this could be made with faux flowers - it’s ideal as they won’t wilt! 😊🙋🏼♂️
If we use some other flowers what is the method to keep the flowers alive
Nalika Epa with flowers that are essentially just stems, then they need to be kept in water until as close to the time of the wedding as possible. So placed on the day is good. In cooler climates they are then fine out of water for a few hours . So if you are in a warm country and using soft flowers then this is more tricky.
