Thanks Regine and Kent. I enjoyed very much watching all your videos. So laborious and so inspiring. So kind of you to share. I have also shared your videos with my friends. Well done! Keep up your good work.
That info on how the twine works was actually quite helpful. I always kind of wondered about those systems. Sounds so simple, but your explanation made it clearer. Didn't realize twine was compostable. Good to know. This is why I love about your channel.
Yes, the jute twine is strong enough to hold the vines up, but breaks down fairly quickly in the composter, and makes the garden trellis easy to maintain. It's usually pretty cheap too. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel!
I should not have been so greedy. I didn’t trim my vines and now they are growing wild. You’re the best for learning how to grow Asian vegetables and I love your channel
Regine is cute and apparently very smart. I like Asian women's mannerisms. My Vietnamese wife is an excellent gardener as well. Your garden is built for productivity. I wouldn't be surprised if you could feed most of your neighborhood from that garden.
Yes, Regine is smart. She's is an engineer. She's had videos for several years and they are all very instructive. And they are raising vegetables as a family business to sell but right now with the virus they aren't doing a vegetable stall. They have mentioned that they will be open to having customers come to them and purchase their vegetables, so if you're interested in that, be sure and watch their videos.
@asian garden Would you please show how and what fertilizer you use for bottle gourd and also how you pollinate them. I have some bottle gourd plants growing in my backyard now.
That's was so sweet to apologise to the plant awe 🤔💝 this is called taking with the plants, I would touch them and say thank you, my grand daughter ask me if I was ok 😆😆😆she was too young to understand 👍
I love gardening like you.🤩❤️❤️I'm learning a lot from you .Thank you .In Singapore. I only plants flower in my patio .now living in U S A..I'm want to follow you....at least I can eat and plants veggies that want ..I wish you're neighbor..😁.Your new subcriber..😍
I germinated 7 plants from seed and they are half way up the twine. Once they get on the trellis how long do I let the get before I cut them? The top of my trellis is cattle panel. Thanks Thomas
First time here, I like your garden and you speak well in english too so here I am , subscribing to your vlogs. Learning more on your gardening skills and vegetables growing. Are you in the US and what state? Thank You. GA USA here...
Hi Nancy, we are in West Central Florida, Gulf Coast, St Petersburg / Pinellas Park. Thanks for watching and subscribing our channel! AsianGarden2Table.com
It is a very useful video. Do we have to cut the top when the plant reaches the top to control its growing? Your plants did not grow beyond the top bar
I think you both are humble and respectful to each other, I’m not only learning how to garden from your channel but also from the examples of you two treating each other. May Gad bless you!
I love this video! I tried to order your bottle gourd seeds, but they're out! Next time. Where could I get the twine? Could you please send me a link for that? Thanks so much!
I started growing first time bottle gourds this spring they were growing so beautifully until they were infested with tiny worms that stuck the life out of the baby fruits. I tried spraying them down with tea tree and soap solution, didn’t work. Then tried vinegar solutions still didn’t work so eventually trimmed off all of the vines down to only leaving the main vine. I really wasn’t too hopeful that it would grow and fruit again but amazingly it did. I have been able to harvest a few and still many are fruiting. I still have the tiny worms situation but not as bad as before. How do I contain these pest next year? Love your channel! I was looking for info on how to grow Asian veggies and your channel is the perfect place! Thank you.
If you are organically growing and having chewing caterpiller/worms there is an organic solution called Bt Bacteria thuringensis (yes thats a mouth full 😳) You spray on the plant about every 14 days or so and it kills all worms/caterpillars that eat it. Its about $15 or so off amazon. Its totally safe for people and is part of organic growing allowances. Keeps my broccoli worm free every year. Hope you have no worms this year. 🥰
Very helpful. May I ask what vegetables can sow well in shalby area that only has 2 to 3 hours sun light of zone 9a. I cannot find out this information in your website that mainly has temperature. What is your zone 9 to 10.
Hey guys, awesome video! Just one little question.. what do you do when the vine reaches the top of the trellis? Do you just guide it back down and keep it growing or do you snip it off? Thx in advance :)
Hi, had been watching your videos for few days now. Thank you for all the tips and techniques. Btw. What is the size of the jute twine? 1mm? 2mm? Thanks!
Regine, will you be showing recipes using the bottle gourds? I've never eaten one - I've always seen them dried as used ornamentally, but I'm very interested in any recipe you might make.
Oh! I love Regine! I wish I was your neighbor , all my small sugar pumpkin plants are dead 😭 too much bugs and rain here in south Fl , hopefully I will be lucky with the yard long beans
wow!! So beautiful and hardworking!! Do you have helpers? or you do it all by yourself? Very Very Impressive and Inspirational!! You should be very proud of your accomplishments!!
You guys are hard working. My area no rain. Successful have a bottle gourd plant growing, but fruits come and turn black. I did see some worms on flowers and new shoots vines . Just like you said you poop them. I did the same, but my fruits still getting black. Please advise me some tips .
You must not have watched our earlier videos of me building all these raised beds and trellis structure, and drainage system, and... plus Regine prefers I don't touch the plants, and she looks better on camera. Thanks for watching!
Hi man you need to work and not just watch the poor girl toil and all you do is yep yep on the camera. I hate to watch her do all the work whilst the man stands there watching shame on you.
Hi Grace, I assure you that I do most of the heavy lifting and construction around the farm, and at home. Please don't think these few minutes of video are all I do for the family, we have lots of other videos showing me working, but this is Regine's channel, and most of her subscribers would rather see her than me. Thanks for watching and for your concern for my wife.

Hello, I lm fro west Texas, when is the best time to plant gourds?
Depends on the type of guord, what are you thinking to grow?
