I've been following you for a few months now and absolutely love the knowledge of guitar you impart.
Just a suggestion: Often times the tone you use for your guitar while teaching riff-writing or theoretical stuff can be down right gnarly and do not sound pleasant at all.
No sounds are bad, but I think each sound has specific place where it should be used. Not every tone is suitable to be used while teaching/ making a instructional video.
I (and I think many others) would prefer that an instructional video has cleaner tones cause a) what's being played is easier to perceive. By that I mean one doesn't have to clear through a wall of coloured sounds/tones to decipher what the notes/chords being played sound "originally". If that makes any sense.
    b) cleaner tones are easier to recreate, require lesser pedals/plugins. It is beneficial to the viewer at home as often we do not have as many resources as you.
This is obviously just a suggestion.
I do not mean any offence.
Apologies in advance if what I mentioned here seems to be rude or too straightforward.
I really appreciate your channel and it's content. ☮️

5:05 It seems something that Johnny Marr could play if The Smiths still was playing! I really like it!

You can make whatever chords your ears desire
And you don’t need to know the names of them
You just need to know what sounds you like after some good exploration.
This little trick of playing the power chord in a higher octave and then adding a triad is just another chord voicing. For the same chords!
Don’t be discouraged from exploring extended complex chords just because you don’t know the fret board or what the extension are.
It’s just sound. Fallow your ears and explore.

Great lesson. I really like when simple things are scaffolded to more complex in an easy way. This lesson does an excellent job of taking a simple concept I have never thought about before and opening up greater possibilities. Great material Gregory!

Love this! This is good stuff for where I am at in my learning. Im finally getting barre chords down and can play them pretty easy but am starting to get bored playing major and minor barre chords with the a and e shape all the time.
