You always explain it so simply and made things that can seem daunting but break them down into easy to understand ways. Keep up your awesome content!! Thank you! :D

Over the years I figured out how to play just by playing by ear and nothing else but now that I’m “learning” how to play, I find the terminology to be the most confusing. Some of your examples really helped define terms that always thew me off. Another great video Greg, thank you so much!
Man your lessons are so helpful! Thank you! Can you pls suggest or do a lesson on how to write parts like clean intro to Another Day or Call of Ktulu or Opeth or To Live is To Die? I really wanna write a clean dark melodic intro for my song but i dont know how to start
Thank you! Check out some of my Chord Progression Monday videos, specifically the ones focused on minor chords. Minor 9 chords with half step movement would do the trick.
Thanks a lot man! I usually fail and stop watching the video when it comes to all these scales and keys and sevenths and what not(I'm a beginner, been a year). And I am generally slow at learning things, all I play is Tool songs and in this lesson I realized that Adam is probably playing a minor sixth in the Vicarious chorus..the first chord of the chorus riff based on what you show at 12:29. While I love playing Tool songs I also wanna broaden my scope and explore my guitar more and this lesson was really really enjoyable for me. I'm gonna get my guitar and start practicing and experimenting things that you explain here. Thanks again man really appreciate your efforts!
@@axeofcreation Hi. I would love a practice routine I can do for alternate picking on like the Low E and A strings. Im decent with scales so I can come up with riffs but my alternate picking especially with any kind of speed sucks...Thanks!!!
@@axeofcreation I looked for a video on left hand muting on your channel but only found palm muting. Is there one? My palm muting is great but I really want to nail left hand muting as well, it's... fretstratingly difficult to perfect!
Is it bad that I have never wanted to learn anyone else’s songs on the guitar? I prefer to write my own licks. Out of the twenty plus years of playing I have yet to want to learn other peoples songs on guitar.
Of all the guitar channels I follow, I learn the most from this one. You just have a knack for getting useful info across clearly.

Understandable. The language can be confusing, many terms may be determined by context.
Great info!

Glad you dig it! A lot of jump off points here.
Cobain became a God with 3 power chords and a cloud of dust.
Greg, do you have a practice video on how to improve alternate picking technique???
Not specifically. Would you want something aimed at alternate picking just the low string? Or through scale and more?

What‘s up with the sound in this video?
It sounds like there is a snare rattling in the background when you talk
