    In this week's lesson, we explore three different ways to explore chords in Drop D tuning:
    1.Triads (Cm and Dm giving us a Phrygian sound.
    2. 4th String Root Chords; Adding extensions and lowering root.
    3. Chord Scale; using simple thirds

    Great video sir!! I have a bluegrass background and love the "sunny" side of drop D tuning...but I am equally interested in the " dark side" as well!! Great examples and thanks for broadening my horizon!!!

    Maybe off topic, but what chord is X32XXX that Adam Jones used in Pneuma? The sound it makes just sounds so good to my ears I don’t know why.

    • @jessewest2109
      @jessewest2109 5 лет назад +1

      Cmajor no 5th. So just C E would be the root and major 3rd. Adam used it a few times on fear. Very prevalent in the chorus of the title track.

      Also at the end of the intro of pneuma. He dies a a dmaj on the 12th of the hi d. Beautiful and not very tooly. Love it
