I remember particularly growing up on some VHS recordings my mom made of the Thanksgiving and Christmas specials when they first aired. Are you sure the person who made the “off brand” version of you isn’t from Esty? Because anyone can make custom stuff that is trade marked, and they don’t get in trouble. Hell, I own a couple of stuff that’s related to FNAF that isn’t licensed by Scott Cawthon, but it’s from the original franchise, but made by someone else.
I can understand that you’d be frustrated, but when you look at it, it isn’t just about how much is sold, it’s the quality of a product. Your plush is cool, but the way doodlesweatercat did it was more interesting.
And yeah it’s frustrating that sometimes people are doing that, but a Blue Rat isn’t really something that anyone can rightfully own. Anyone can make it, without any possibility of getting sued for copyright. You’d be surprised how many business sell off brand stuff that’s similar to the original, and get away with it.
