    I like how this is the official RUclips channel for the biggest, most notorious roleplaying game in the world, owned by one of the biggest board games and toys companies in the world, and STILL it's clearly them profiting off of Jane's notoriety and not the opposite.

    Two days in a row! Now I wonder if she'll come back on a D&D live and discuss her creative process of Prudence while explaining how Warlocks work, and then Andy will do the same for Rogues, Luke for Bards, Mike for Paladins/Dragonborn, and Ellen for Druids

    I have a D&D question that is unrelated to the topic of this video. If Chris Perkins was a Warlock patron what type of Patron would he be? asking because one of my players wants to use him as the patron of their new Tiefling Warlock.

    • @daltigoth3970
      @daltigoth3970 2 года назад

      Arguments could be made for several:
      Archfey - "Your patron is a lord or lady of the fey, a creature of legend who holds secrets that were forgotten before the mortal races were born". As a creator of lore for some adventures, this could fit.
      Celestial - Chris Perkins is involved in the creation of new races and settings, attributes normally associated with the gods, so this fits.
      Genie - if Chris Perkins is making your dreams become reality, then this fits
      Great Old One - He's not really that old, but you can argue that a real-world person is of a nature that is "utterly foreign to the fabric of reality" and comes from "the space beyond reality" from the context of the in-game characters' perspectives, so this fits.
      Hexblade - The spirit of Chris Perkins is in your weapon...? Sure, why not?

    Interesting a bit late for 5e but a little early for OneD&D🤔

    • @daltigoth3970
      @daltigoth3970 2 года назад +2

      I'm pretty sure they had done a similar series of videos a while back with the Critical Role cast, so this is more of a refresh with some new faces.
      I find the Oxventures to be a better stream for introducing new people to D&D over Critical Role anyways, as their setup is far closer to what most people are going to experience, especially if you start with their first one.

    • @Bryito
      @Bryito 2 года назад +1

      @@daltigoth3970 I get that my thing is why are they doing this now and not at the beginning of 5e let’s use a different example they announced a new halo game but instead now they show a bunch of different things you can do in the original halo if we look at that way this doesn’t make sense Plus once again there are plenty of other content creators who go into deep discussions that also talk about these things so it’s not like people can’t get the information so I’m not sure why plus as well I’m sure you can get the players handbook on a deal by now🤔

    • @daltigoth3970
      @daltigoth3970 2 года назад +1

      @@Bryito The "why" is simply that fans of the channels that Jane Douglas is on will be drawn to this, as it is more likely to show up in their feeds than the older content done with the Critical Role cast or other content made by the D&D team.
      Sure, the info is out there on other channels as well and is in the PHB, but the official D&D channel gets revenue from people watching their content, so they are going to do things that draw people to it.
      One D&D is still a couple years off, so its not really, so it doesn't make sense to ignore the current product for that long. Its more akin to your favorite celebrity telling you to get out and vote - you already know that you can vote, you get material in the mail and see commercials on TV, but you might pay more attention when someone you like and respect suggests it, and you might look at their posts even if you have no interest in what they are saying just to give a show of support.

    • @Bryito
      @Bryito 2 года назад +1

      So this is just like a weird fan service thing I guess I understand odd but if it makes people happy I guess it doesn’t hurt anything🤔 myself personally would prefer more information on One D&D🤩 don’t get me wrong I do enjoy 5e but The system has been getting a little repetitive so I’m more excited for shaking things up but still also having some things I know I like😁
