In 1921, my wife's 2nd great uncle took a 15,000 mile journey from coast to coast by automobile. He wrote about his travels, and his story was published as weekly installments in the Pocahontas Times in West Virginia. About 15 years ago, I assembled all of the issues into one book form. I included 25 photos of the journey, also. This is inspiring me to get out those old photos again. Thanks.

Great interview. Thanks to Dave for sharing his knowledge of this lesser known subject.
I've always enjoyed car camping here in Australia and enjoy coming up with new ideas. Now I realise some of my new ideas have already been thought of way before my time.
I'm still in two minds whether to drive my Model A from Melbourne VIC to Maryborough QLD later this year for the Australian Model A National meet, a return trip of 4000km (2500Miles). Car camping of course!

Great chat. If he has any 1929 era campers or plans, I would enjoy discussing it.

Great interview and very interesting. I've heard it said that Americans vacation less than most overall. I find that strange because they seem to build more vacation equipment than any other nation on earth. It seems to me it started back when the Conestoga Wagons built by Studebaker opened up the west.
Amazing what has been built to be hauled by a Model T Ford. They say Ford used over twenty alloys in the T while everyone else had hardly two. From all the videos I've seen and the loads put on them they needed it. Made them last so we could enjoy them.
Enjoy your channel very much and will keep watching.
