- First wild camp in Harwood Forest since the devastation caused by Storm Arwen, 4 months ago. I attempted wildlife photography before meeting up with Jimmy and Rooney later in the day. It was as a great camp but quickly descended into clown world, once alcohol touched our lips.

Thanks for that, I googled peregrine falcon and made the mistake of not looking at all the hawks, they look very similar to the untrained eye like mine. I have added a subtitle to the video correcting the error.

I dont know birds very well because I thought it was a peregrine falcon at first but was later told it was something else more rare but cant remember which now?

Great to hear Geordie banter ...I miss it , stuck here in NSW .....we used to often go to Harwood & look at the hanging tree...spooky eh, however I've been put off our forests here near Taree NSW we heard the knocking on the trees of the Yowie, & heard it scream several times very loud as if just 5 yards from tent in a forest in Victoria ....so much as I love the forests here ...er I guess I've gone soft in my old age ( 65) ...well done guys .
Glad you enjoyed it, I would be home sick living so far away. I think there are creatures living in the forests around the world and some are paranormal in nature. I dont get worried being in the forest anymore because of all the years I've been alone, they would have harmed me by now if they wanted

My initial impressions, it was light coloured and very different to other birds of prey I've seen before. The mistake I made when making ID was settling for the first pic seen on Google search which looked similar. I have a lot still to learn, thanks for your comment

Jimmy and Rooney are great lads to camp with. I was laughing while editing and wish I could have seen the final cut for the first time, would have been more funny for me that way

Great video mate funny AF, where did u get the light and crocodile clip.
I got the light from Amazon, Neewer Dimmable 176 LED Video Light 5600K. The crocodile clip was from Ebay, part of a pack different gopro mounts. I'm sure you could by the one you want by itself. The clip is strong but other accessories in the pack broke because they were crap quality. Google gopro crocodile clip and Its also known as the backpack mount.

Nowadays: "Made in Japan" means a better quality when referred to Silky Saws!
I think they are good saws but overpriced IMHO

Good suggestions, I like pinky and perky lol. Drone shots easily done today were done expensively back in the day with helicopters and camera men. We RUclipsrs have got it it so easy and cheap these days, no excuse for putting out shite content

Those camps are just chill outs and a good piss up with the lads. I've tried researching and doing audio recordings etc but there's too much noise and things going on. Solo camps are best for bigfooting or with other people who are serious about the subject and dont mess around like some folk have done in the past. Even my son Christopher got out his hammock one night and did a wood nock and jumped back in but the audio recorder is so sensitive you can tell what people are doing around camp

Great video although not a peregrine, looks like possible goshawk or sparrowhawk.
I have added a caption to video explaining bird wasn't a peregrine. Most people are saying goshawk so I'll go with that because they all look similar to me. I am still learning wildlife photography so thanks for your input.

The tree was dead standing with no needles on. The size compared to the rest of the trees should tell you it stopped growing long ago
