Hi Damo, great to see you back out. I did put your absence down to the UK cold 🥶 … but sorry for your loss. Hard times! Don’t usually comment but am too going through the grieving process. Lost my best buddy in October, 61, brain aneurysm. No warning, no goodbyes. Bosh! Gone. I can’t stress enough how being out in nature, both wild camping and day hikes, helps. I was struggling but nature, old leaves, new plants, and the greater scheme of things, helps immensely. Nature is key to our wellbeing, I am in no doubt. Just wanted to say thanks for what you do. Your efforts mean a lot to many people. All the best. 🙏🏼

That's ALL of my living family gone now. I've had some very dark days too. My only escape is to get away out in the wilderness of Northumberland also. Just keep plugging away. It slowly gets easier. Hi Geordie, thank you, its been a difficult few months but life goes on and getting back out helps a great deal. You can't go wrong with the cheap gas. Butane doesn't work in very cold conditions so I use the butane - iso butane - propane mix, which is a bit more expensive but still cheaper than the round canisters. I've got the transfer adaptor and might do a video on it when I gain a bit more experience.

I'm new to using that stove and cannister configuration but think the can was on its side which allowed more fuel than needed when first ignited. I tried again with the can upright and the initial flame was blue and normal in size (no mini explosion) Having propane in the mix just means the stove will work better in lower temperatures. Some stoves in very cold conditions benefit from a cannister on side to aid combustion but for us in the UK and in a tent is a bad idea

Very cool area & History . Hopefully , you just need to get used to the stove . You might want to try it with a round canister as a comparison ? Pretty cool feature to be able to unclip the tent like for a cooking area . My tents have done that intermittently during the night with wind gusts , but ... Those gusts normally are fairly frequent and last a hr. or so . Hmm ... Sorry for your loss . Good to see you out again .. gubs

The tent shakes / gusts were infrequent to the wind which wasn't noticable after dark once the wind calmed. I keep an open mind and will use audio recorders in future videos
