    It's a beautiful part of the world to live! I grew up in a tiny village called Whittingham. You would have seen the top of the church steeple over to the east from thrunton crags. If you think it's steep by McCartney's then, try doing it in 3 foot of snow! Haha it's good to see other people enjoying my "back garden" 😉 and I hope it draws others to the area. Thank you for being respectful and keeping it tidy! Take care mate!

    I REALLY enjoyed this video. For some reason, it's been my favorite thus far, and I've probably watched most of you walks/wild camps 2 or 3 times now.
    I'm very much looking forward to my first wild camp this coming fall. With temps here in south Louisiana at 100F right now, and heat indexes around 115F, it's just not probable to wild camp during the summer. Although, while scouting a few places last week, I did see 2 separate wild camp set ups in one of my local wildlife refuges.
    So this fall, on my first wild camp, I'll be sure to bring some mash along in honor of you! :)

    great video and i will try to watch as many as your videos as i get time for,, and its great that you are always in a different place. some outdoor you tubers are worried about showing where they are doing there stealth camps so much that they just seem to be in the same boring places and they never or rarely show the awesome views of the countryside.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  9 лет назад

      James edwards Thanks for your comment James, I try to be careful by not reavealing the exact locations of some places as there are too many idiots who will leave a mess and spoil it for the rest of us, there is a danger by popularising wild camping too much it will attract the wrong kind of people who don't care about the countryside and are only interested in a one night piss up in the woods.and aren't bothered because they know they wont be going back again in a hurry.

      Stuart Revie instant mash is a winner, less energy needed to heat up than boiling rice or pasta, thanks for the comment, atb, Damian

    Damian 3 mins and 35 seconds into the film you are standing right outside Wedderburns Hole - there's a pic on flickr of a guy climbing into it, check it out. Yet another very enjoyable vid, keep em coming in 2016

      +Martin Harrison I've googled that place and found those pics, I didnt find the hole on that occassion, it was overgrown and may have stood over the top and missed it completely. I will have a look when I'm next up there. Thanks for watching, Damian

    I think that was a sketchy place to sleep. I would have been worried about sliding off the edge too. Don't you have a head net for the flies? I thought you showed us the little bag in another video.. Maybe this was before you got it. I like the net for flies and moskitoes. Lovely video. I enjoy watching you wander.

      That video was made before I got the bug net. I prefer using the Snugpak Stratosphere bivy now because it keeps out the creepy crawlies better than the army bivy. Thanks for watching, Damian.

    Living in London, things have seemed to be getting more and more hectic lately. So I've starting looking at a lot of videos on here showing people camping and getting away from it all just to give me a sense of escapism. But I have to say, of all the videos I've seen, yours are the absolute best. This one had me captivated from start to finish. I would love to do something like this but being a city person for so long, I'd be a bit nervous. But after seeing this I'm longing to have a go. Thanks so much for sharing this. I've subscribed now so I do hope you keep making loads more?
    All the best my friend,
    Kev

      Kev, you want to get yourself out there, if only for the fresh air, being stuck in the city with all that pollution you need to get out in the country, you will enjoy it, but if you are a bit nervous like you say you are, then take up with a friend who is already doing it and pick his brains and learn from him, you don't know what your missing.

      KentcraftPrepper 1 Thanks Ray, I'm definitely going to give it a go. It's gong to be in the Spring/ Summer though as I don't think I'd be up to it in this weather on my first attempt ... LOL.
      Thanks again mate!

      Your welcome, yer go in the spring/summer so as you can get into it, if you have no equipment at the moment and not sure what you may need, feel free to contact me anytime as I am retired, and on the PC nearly all the time, I can tell you what you will need as well as don't need, otherwise you will just be wasting your money on things you don't need, as there are companies out there that will sell you anything weather you need it or not. atb Ray
