just bought GA3 grips...fitting ...take off the end caps to lock the outside to the hollow bars...careful left and right orientation... don't over torque...firm snug. angle palm supports to fit hands....next ...refit new saddle..
A good grip will help distribute the load more evenly across your hand but it’s still just a bandaid for other issues. Many times, a rider with hand problems is simply bearing too much weight on their hands do to the position of the saddle and the incorrect length and rise of the handlebar stem. If the saddle is too far forward and or tilted downward, it can make the rider lean into the handlebars to a greater extent. Moving the saddle rearward and leveling the saddle can help. Also, making sure the reach and rise to the bars is reasonable with the proper length and rise stem will help. Thirdly, rotating the bars so the weight bearing is even on the inside and outside of your hands. In other words, if the bars are rotated too far forward, you may feel more pressure on the outsides of your hands. If the bars are rotated too far rearward, you may feel more pressure on the inside of your hands. If all these thing are achieved, the grips are secondary to comfortable hands. A professional bicycle fit with a reputable bike fitter will be more effective than any grip you can install.
Just saw your Alachua county tags back there! Hogtown native myself. I bought an urban bike (basically a mountain bike w slicks on it) for easy fitness rides and noticed quickly my hands were getting numb after a few miles. I bought some Origin8 ergo grips and they help a lot. No numbness. I also ordered some of the Ergon GA2 grips with the mini barends. I’ll be swapping to those once they come in. I’ve done a lot of riding down Millhopper Road and miss it. Beautiful ride. Live in SW Florida now.
Thanks for watching, i'm still riding with the same grips, they've really held up well! Yeah, I've been here for 20 yrs and there's some scenic rides, just rode some lime rock roads in Micanopy, take care!
Great 3rd person shots! The problem is numb hands can be caused by so many things😜. I found adjusting my seat height just a little helps when that happens to me.
The reason I ask is I don’t like the aesthetics and would use a bar end cap instead if it can be removed.. either that or if darken the white off with a marker pen.
Picked up a set from REI (so could return if needed) based on your review. So far, great for hour commute with some dicey sections. Have you tried GS1?
@@Jackosurf88 ahhh I knew it!!!! I absolutely want to try these grips but I want either a flashier blue, green or magenta/pink option. Thanks for the response! Are you still running these, if so how have they treated you?
@@jasonnowwhat5041 I am not running these anymore, currently I'm using the Tinker Juarez foam grips, the GA3 are great and doesn't affect grip if you're into jumps, my hands get numb from work, so my problems are bigger, I've used the GA3 and their saddles for years now, their saddles are great too, check out my other vids on "Numb nuts!" :0

Great advice, I know about the "bike fit" that is definitely the1st step to comfort in all levels for the rider/ me. Thanks for watching!
@@Jackosurf88 Where do you get those? thanks
@@neilmonisit8781 on “ Ergon’s” website or seen em on Amazon, can’t find the light blue anymore?
@@Jackosurf88 yup I ordered already at Amazon but paid $10 more...thanks
@@Jackosurf88 I cant seemed to figure out how to shop there...lol anyway just ordered in Amazon much more expensive though
Try adjusting the angle of the brake levers. They seem to be facing too far down . Try to bring the levers up to flatten out your hands
Buying them after watching this. Thanks.
Thanks! I'm about to buy my 3rd pair, they work for me!
The Endless Cycle Best grips ever for me no joke. Like them more than the FatPaw or Esis.
@@junboo8730 I need to try others but very happy with these, I'm about to buy my third pair!

Great video! Was not expecting that spider😬
They're all over the trails here in Florida, especially in the morning, thanks for watching!
Excellent Review! Good video production.
Thank u, hope it helped!

Thanks for the advice!
I had a similar grip on my old hardtail and i found it way comfy... I have massive hands :D
say.. do the ends (white part) come off?
Yes they do, they're in there pretty good, scuffed a tree the other day but the plugs stayed in, I'm still riding these grips, thanks for watching!

Great review. Thanks.
They are still really grippy too, the rubber compound has kept its tackiness!

No , I. have not, but may try em' soon.
What exact color are these? Sunrise blue?
Sounds about right, they don't offer this color anymore unfortunately, only midnight blue and Midsummer blue which I gave away in a previous giveaway.
