Great video Tyler you are a natural in front and behind the camera, with great footage and track details. Malakai doesn’t always say he is having a good time when you ask him but I’m sure he is and better than sitting at home indoors playing video games, cheers mate.
Great job mate. My son-in-law almost put his Colorado on its side going down that section where the Cruiser & MUX had to winch up. Luckily he has excellent reflexes & drove out of it. Next time you’re in the area we need to do the rest of the loop. Cheers
Go the navara !!! Landcruiser need those lockers has no flex for a solid Axel you will think so but those rear leaf springs let him down . But the front sway bar links are holding him back need them disconnected once off road would get much more flex in the front . Great video Once u put lockers in ur navara u will notice a big difference u will expand the life span on ur mechanics .
Cheers! Yep that lands cruiser doesn't have much flex, definitely need those lockers for it to be good off-road. Hopefully get lockers in mine one day!
@@TylerThompson90 do you have an LSD front? A locker in the rear will make it even more capable and safer. Less speed, less spinning wheels, easier on the driveline. Cracking video!
Thanks for the vids. Going to get my sis-in-law to come out in her Triton and do the Catherine Hill run you did in the previous video. Nearly half way from my mums and my sisters places. Great work man......
Love the vids mate. Plenty of tracks around the newy area to explore and you just showed me a new one. Might see you up at barrington on the next snow day
Thanks mate, yep sure is plenty of 4wding around that area, hopefully going to head out the Watagans next. We will definitely be keen to get up there when theres some good snow next :)
The Killy Loop is one of the most hectic 4x4 tracks going. I'm watching now and I'm like MUX what? Haha. And man that muddy crap kills alternators good thing you took it slow even I spose. But yeah everytime I'm out Killy I think am I dead? Haha. Before we had 4x4 money when we were kids we used to take VN Commodores and stuff out there and "rally" them till they died. Pretty much every night if we were out. Haha. Good bad times. Bad good times. I dunno which one.
Yeah, i grew up in the area and used to ride out there alot, It was an enduro track. Its amazing how much different the tracks are these days, The track up/down the hill on the killy side of the freeway used to be a single car width and now its as wide as the hill
Sounds like things have definitely changed heaps of the years! Like a lot places do once they start getting heaps of people using them. Its becoming a very interesting track these days
@@TylerThompson90 I haven't been out for a couple years my brother and I used to go out a bit. There's this one track out there, not the loop, but you know at the start where your under the bridge, next to the creek, and you go straight and it's a big puddle, then you can either go left or right, left is a cement creek crossing and it can get deep, but if you go right instead and then it curves around to the left and then starts to go downwards just slightly, at the bottom is a big puddle you can either gun it across or go around to the right threw the trees threw the water but the ground is solid, anyway after this puddle the track takes a slippery right hand turn, and then again veres left.. And then it starts to climb up a narrow windey track and as you climb you go threw a few coal terrains, eventually you pop out at the top and your pretty bloody high up! The track goes left and up further and your wheels kind of begin to slide right and you think am I gunna die? Anyway continue on and you end up it opens up to a grassy field. We usually park up and give the cruisers a quick power rest. Behind you is a cliff and infront is a further climb/mountain/Forrest. In there is where it gets hectic!! At one point the track it turns into a creek!! And then the creek turns into a delayed water fall which as you continue to climb higher begins to get more mossy. Haha. Eventually the ground turns to nothing but bush slate and you start to see some water trickling down. The slate begins to turn to steps and man it gets scary. Not as scary as Awaba!! But close.
Wow that sounds crazy! I haven't been out that way but I know where you're talking about once you go in under the bridge. Will have check it out next time I'm out that way
Hey Tyler, enjoying the videos, keep them coming. Wish I had the opportunity to get out as often as you do. With the MUX get your Dad to put it in 4L and select 2nd gear, it can be selected even when standing still. The traction control works well in 2nd and he will notice a marked improvement. Traction control doesn't seem to respond as well when in 1st gear. Cheers
Nice vid. But you did it backwards. You turn right after going under the M1 and go into the track on the left about 1km from there. Much more challenging this way. And it’s about two or three Ks longer.
That's rad...😎👍...I always see those tracks cruising up the freeway but never see anyone on them...Good to know you are allowed...Good to see the Nissan smoke the Toyota up that hill...🤣🍻👌...
If your thinking about doing them you might want to do them soon, I think they will eventually be closed. Lots of the Old tracks around the O'donneltown area a little further north have been gated, fenced and closed
Great clip definately giving this track a go asap. Hope they leave this open for people to use maybe if all the grubs keep their rubbish in the car until they get home we'll have a chance of using more tracks for a lot longer
Come back to killy now and try it forwards instead of doing it backwards like you've done it in this vid considering you have the gq now should kill it at killy lol

That's a nice track. Keep up the great videos.

No idea you could do these drives at Cath. Only 15 minutes up the road. Good videos
Thanks mate, yep great little area around there, that was our first time
Nice one Tyler pretty knaghly tracks well.driven 😎

Sick 🤙

great vid! were there any mud holes you avoided? will be doing this track next month :D
Kyle Barnes stay well clear of the bog hole about 10mins in. We went through the middle and took 3 hours to recover a bogged patrol.
@@Timothycooper1990 thanks
Hit it at 70km/h twin locked and u will be right haha
Yeah that was the only mud hole you had to go through, there were plenty of others on the track but ways around them all if you don't want to do them
Great clip definately giving this track a go asap. Hope they leave this open for people to use maybe if all the grubs keep their rubbish in the car until they get home we'll have a chance of using more tracks for a lot longer

Hey mate did you start from the north or south entrance to the track ?
Started at the south mate 👌
Come back to killy now and try it forwards instead of doing it backwards like you've done it in this vid considering you have the gq now should kill it at killy lol
