Yet another awesome vid. Thanks for sharing. U seriously put a gr8 vid with gr8 information together. We r heading up to the Vic High country 12th Feb for 11 day's. U have given us some "more to do" list especially that cave. THANK U
always a good watch tyler , hard to beat the high country , those caves are a good example of what you find up there , full of interesting stuff , cheers
Another awesome movie man! Love your work. We did exactly this day in reverse as our last day in the high country. Camped on the exact same spot at Limestone creek camping area. Now I don't need to make my movie!! Thanks for sharing & bringing back the memories.
Love seeing the young ones involved in some off road driving. So many of these types of videos are a bunch of dudes. I like to see the family friendly tracks.
Great footage mate... That hill you said was challenging on limestone track is called dead horse hill one of the vehicles we were travelling with rolled on to his roof up the top after attempting to reverse down..... took a bit to recover
Thanks mate! Oh really, hadn't heard it called that. That sounds like an interesting time! haha. I've had a couple mention to me mishaps on that hill, a group that went through a few days before us had to recover a broken troopy that had been sitting there all day waiting for help
Great Vid Tyler, bought back lots of memories, we use to travel all over those areas 40 years ago when you did have the whole place to yourself.... Cant wait to see part 2 .... Take Care and Keep Well
Mate, another outstanding video!! You’re definitely one of the top off road channels on RUclips! Those caves looked pretty decent. There are a number of limestone systems near Barrington tops that you should check out the next time you’re over that way again. They’re near Timor. Keep up the great content!👍
I've done Thredbo to Mansfield and in a few weeks time I'm doing it in reverse. The first time we did the Mount Pinnibar track from Tom Groggin. This time on the return I want to do the Davies Plane. Thanks for this video !!
Still wish to do this track, but after seeing your video, I'm so glad we did Mount Pinnabar January last year when we found the Davies High Plains "Road Closed" sign then. Mount Pinnabar plan B turned out to be a real hoot as you too discovered. The NSW and VIC government should be funding you, as this is turning out to be the go to site for planning trips.
Yeah the Davies Plain track was awesome but I would definitely recommend the Mt Pinnibar track if you could only do one. I'd be keen for a sponsorship, they could pay me to go 4wding and camping haha
awesome channel, we love watching the videos and following along. Do you reckon you can cross over the Murray at tom groggin without a snorkel on an Amarok? thinking of trying to go across the boarder this long weekend?
Thanks mate! Yeah you'll be sweet, its only normally around knee depth at most. It only gets higher after a heap of rain obviously which there is none of at the moment
I went down McBrides beech track at Forster Oz day Monday and I know you said its rough but wow what and understatement its full on. Looking forward to this Davies tk vid
I am lijust planning the exact same trip mate awesome content I have only just found your channel! Question, do you think it is a manageable weekend trip (2 nights 2 days) from Canberra davies plain, limestone creek and back through suggan buggen area? Cheers mate
Just found your channel Tyler. Awesome video lots of great info. Doing this in 2 weeks time. That steep section on Limestone creek, did you and your dads trucks have lockers or just LSD's
Yep never had any issues with it. I have it running in the back 24/7 and exposed to all the elements and never had a problem. The only time it stopped working was when I fully submerged it in a creek crossing and then it didn't work the rest of the day but once it dried out it was all good again the next day haha
Yeah a lot of the tracks out there would be a nightmare in the wet. Even on Davies Plains track i reckon you'd be slipping all over the place on a few sections, then in the dry you can pretty much be in 2wd haha
@@TylerThompson90 I did the exact same route in my Land Rover Freelander 2 with no low range, my kids were driving my Jeep. Haha, no they didn't break down....
Yeah a couple of people mentioned that, not too sure hey. No problems with it Shad was aware but he said he's going to be bring it up with his mechanic, hopefully nothing wrong. Could be distortion through the microphone but dunno
Great video Tyler! It's been several years since I've done the track & didn't know of the caves at the Limestone Creek Track campground. Am about to go back in a a few weeks. Are they sign-posted or hidden away? How far from the campground? Cheers...
Cheers mate, amazing area through there. They aren't signposted or anything but they aren't too hard to find, you walk across the creek from the main area of camp and the entrance is only 100-150 metres away, you should see a little track to follow
You teased us a couple of days ago with a small sample. Couldn’t wait for this to be posted and you haven’t disappointed - great video. Really like the bits of info on area and track conditions you add. Handy ....planning a similar trip late next month but in reverse. Was that your group that I saw traveling through Geelong the week after this ? Recognized the Nav and gear on the rack. I’m subscribed , you deserve more, keep up the good work
Hi Tyler Another good one. A great education for Malakai , not many kids today would think of going bush Especially without iphone and iPad coverage. By the way, what ever happened to Khala ( hope I spelt her name correctly ) I though she was a great asset A real character, she always seemed to have fun and appeared to care for the young fella. I apologise if I am out of order, just curious. We just got back from the Vic high country in December and only just scratched the surface. Cheers. Keep us all happy. Col.
Hey mate, thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Kayla hasnt been on the last few videos because she had been pretty tied up at work and hadn't come on any filming trips (kayla and I had done a few one nighters by ourselves). But after the high country she flew down and met us in melbourne and we did 10 days on the great ocean road together (Kayla, Malakai and Myself) which will be the next series after this one :) Cheers mate
@@TylerThompson90 I was going to comment on the sound the 76 was making. Don't hear it in any other LC70 videos like Ronny Dahl etc. Glad it's ok, I thought it sounded expensive haha
Awesome video mate, loved it! The cruisers engine sounded like it had a bit more tick to it than usual though... Any issues with it? Keep up the good work! Cheers
@@TylerThompson90 we didnt get there like we had planned, we decided to move house which ended up taking up all of our time. Might still get there before winter. Spewing though, on the 5th when you had 22 degrees we had 38.......
