As an amputee from birth it's nice to have a fairytale where the disabled aren't depicted as grotesque monsters 🫶
I'm so glad you liked it. ❤️ I hope to find more!
What a lovely story!
Awesome story!
Loved this! Sharing it in the BookFace.
You the best!
Having no legs honestly sounds better to me just because they get in the way so often with my wheelchair. The amount of times I am smacked into things via my dang legs sticking out is insane. I can walk very short distances though so it would make my daily life a bit more annoying so there is always a trade off. I get enough from doctors trying to fix unrelated problems when I go in for pain management, I don’t need fairytales that tell me that they can magically fix me because chances are they are also trying to fix the wrong issue.
Fairy tales and doctors tryin to fix what dont need fixin, ya heard it here first!
request: the little peasant from the brother's grimm
Hi Kyle! if you think of it, send me an email, cosbrarian at gmail - it's easier for me to track requests there.
Hey bestie got a question is it possible can we share fairytales/folktales that we the viewers created and you preform/ tell them here. Just wondering cuz that would be a cool idea if we did ( wink wink)
Hi! Right now I have so many established fairy tale requests to get thru, I can't take this on. But if anything changes I'll def let y'all know!
Well screw the kid that fell in the well then I guess. 😂 I do love that you found a story with positive disability representation for once! :D
I actually just bought Barnes and Noble’s beautiful new leather bound copy of The Blue Fairy Book by Andrew Lang, as well as another leather bound fairytale collection, partly inspired by your videos making me want to read more older fairy tales. :D I’m working my way through it a story at a time, loved how “East of the Sun, West of the Moon” was just a big retelling of Eros and Psyche, and I just finished “The Yellow Dwarf” last night, wasn’t expecting that ending! Loved seeing a griffin pop up in a fairytale though, they’re my favorite. :D I see that “The White Cat” is in this collection too, I loved your retelling of it so I’m definitely looking forward to reading it. :D
The yellow dwarf is crazy 😂
@@Cosbrarian Definitely, just a tragic ending out of nowhere, lots of events and complications, and I feel like one of the rare good portrayals of a mermaid from a story that old (though admittedly I haven’t read a ton of older mermaid stories).
…..did they leave the son in the well?
Yup 😂
Request: the princess cursed to only be able to speak a small number of words each day. It has been years since I read it and cannot remember the author. Sorry.
Emailing you with the request now.
Thanks for emailing it, I'll try to track it down!
