Diesel RV Air Dryer Rebuild - Air Pressure Failure Fix - Bad Purge Valve - Easy RV DIY. Couldn't build enough air pressure to hit the road in our RV. Turns out the Haldex Purest air dryer was dumping air right out of the Purge Valve. Decided to rebuild the air dryer. Ordered rebuild kits and got to work. Not hard at all. Now we're back on the road!

First time rebuilding an RV Diesel Air Dryer. Couldn't have been easier. It was suggested that this job can be completed with the air dryer still mounted under the RV...I guess if you've got the clearance then go for it. Love saving money with DIY maintenance. Happy RVing!

Great work Ricky on air dyer I have done lots of them you did not even left a gasket off and all bolts was on LOL I was wonder about hoses underneath way turn them up on inlet some on down ward hook up great work Mr Trucker

Can you post the website and part number for the material you used in the video? I have the same dryer but am struggling to locate the kit.
At the start of the video you show a filter that's round and brittle. Where did that filter come from? I have not found one on my air dryer. Mine looks exactly like yours. Thanks for the video. It gave me the confidence to rebuild this unit while ordering the correct parts as well.
That little felt filter was from the dump valve cover, the black plastic cover at the bottom of the dryer. Very glad this video helped you...that's why we make them. Thanks for checking out our channel, Timothy. We appreciate you. Peace.

I have a similar problem. 6 months ago we lost air and it was coming out the bottom where the purge valve is. a mechanic by passed our air dryer and capped off the 1/4 line from the compressor. been run since with 110 psi and I have been bleeding the tanks after we travel. Get the water out but I know I need an air dryer. bought a rebuilt kit exactly like yours and followed step by step. Put it all back together but can't build pressure. the air still coming out the bottom. what do you think is happening? I was super careful and not sure what needs to be done. I would hate to buy a new air dryer and waste the 200 on the rebuilt kit. Let me know your thoughts
Never mind. There 2 O rings on the purge valve and I missed one. Great content you provided. I would have been lost without this video. My coach is purring like a cat

lol. you are putting this together wrong hahaha. You forgot the o rings on the purge, you put the purge cover on wrong, the metal goes on the outside of the cap and the other half ring is a heat blocker that goes between the heater and the purge cap.
You are absolutely right! Good eye. I discovered the O-Rings and the heat shield issue after I published the video. I didn't follow the instructions...to the letter. Took care of these and all was well...of course I had to mount the dryer to discover something wasn't right. You must have rebuilt a few of these?? Thanks, LABD!
@@RVUNDERWAY You know that you should have made another video of you correcting these issues! Someone else might watch your video and decide to follow your instructions and find out later that they should have read these responces and realize that this video isnt correct and this is NOT how to rebuild an Air dryer.
