    installed an Calimer mt-82d stage one on 2019 gt mustang aluminator 5.0L engine MMR pulse ring mgw spec 2 shifter
    mc leod rst which always had problems shifting into 1st. and reverse. After 10k would not go into reverse or 1st. gear.
    Sent transmission back to Ben and Dylan at Calimer. They claim McLeod rst wrecked transmission. I bought the SECOND Calimer mt-82d stage 2 cyro treated micro polish gears carbon fiber synchro rings billet forks and Mantic 9000. smooth as butter and rock solid. McLeod blame it on the 2017 to 2019 slave cylinder which I had a new one installed when I put the stage 1 in. F. McLeod RST CLUTCH
    cost me major bucks !

      That's typical of BCs transmissions. Stage 1 and 2s are total trash, IMO. Charges all of that $$ and doesn't have any warranty and then blames everything else. Sad

      that's funny that he recommends that clutch to me as well and now i cant get into 3-4 gear. it'll get stuck so ima just sell it and get a t56. First year as well had issues getting into 2nd, i dont think hes actually building these or just ripping ppl off

    Great video. Interested in tricks or tips to get trans back together with the engine. Had the twin disk off 3x now and have since ordered steel alignment tool. We cannot seem to get past the first disk. However, the disks slide nicely on the input shaft. Seems like an inch apart is the closest we have gotten. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

      The steel alignment tool made all the difference. The plastic tool would slip in and out as it should. But the steel tool wouldnt. Loosened everything up and used the steel tool. Everything went back together perfectly. Not the easiest job on jack stands but I will forever buy the steel alignment tool going forward.

    Hey man if you don't mind me asking were those 6 ton jack stands all the way up? I've got some daytona 3 tons that only go up 16-7/8 inches high and I'm worried about having enough clearance to pull the trans

    do i need to upgrade my clutch when putting in a new trans?

    • @Gwape_Jam
      @Gwape_Jam 8 месяцев назад

      Upgrade? Not necessarily, if you are stock and replacing with stock trans. But you should replace it while you have the trans out, that’s all the labor right there. But upgrading is always a good idea, but you have to be careful and not go too crazy with a clutch and lose a bit of your daily drivability

    Could I ask how you got the top 2 bolts out for the bell housing ?

    • @AlphaX13
      @AlphaX13  Год назад

      For people with hands on the larger side, going from the top of the engine typically works pretty well. Otherwise you can lower the transmission slightly and use a very long extension and socket to reach those top bolts.

      @@cjcullar crushing your hand and saying a few swear words… or find someone with small enough hands to reach up there with a ratcheting wrench. For some of the bolts it might be easier to go through the side where the wheel is.

      if you remove or loosen the AC compressor, you can gain access easily with a long extension stretching between the motor mount and header to that top starter bolt. @@cjcullar
