VERY Helpful, ty! My friend passed away a year ago this month. Her surviving husband needed housing and care. I opened my home to him. As it turned out, I became his in-home care-provider. I'm guessing he is prediabetic. Thus, my need to add to my skill-sets. Blessings*SharonZ WA
I tried to do that but it won't read . There's no arrow on the test strip so I don't know which way to put it. I turned on the device and there's already a number on it. How do I reset and remove that number. This is so confusing.
I already watched several utube videos on using a glucometer and this is the first one that showed the person pricking their finger with the lancet cold. No lancet device was used where you insert the lancet, prime the device and push the button to spring the needle into the finger was used. So is the lancet device an alternative and not actually a necessary part of this process??
I am prediabetic. Do you need a prescription for the meter, lancet and test strips ? I thought it would be a good idea to check my progress and not waiting until my dr. does another A1C test.
Also the "normal" range of what is healthy can vary from person to person. I start having hypo (low symptoms) when I'm only 85 and need to be around 120 to function correctly.

No. Buy them OTC at walmart / walgreen for about 20 / 30 bucks for everything.

Sir you did not apply alcohol and wipe it off!! So make sure you do that , and and wipe first blood off. Squeeze finger again for results !!

Do you have to keep the strip on the finger during the count down my mom makes me keep it on or she yells at me
No the test strip draws the blood from your finger and you can take it away from your finger when the count down is happening
