I like it when our South Africans tell us about career options in South Africa rather than Europe, Australia, America, etc. South Africans are far more relatable
Hi Katleho I understand but it is not always to get people who are still based in South Africa . We ask a lot of professionals to participate and honestly some don’t respond. So we focus more on getting the information across and over 90% of our professionals studied and started their careers in South Africa so it’s relevant information. Thanks!
Hi all, thank you for the informative video. I'm a Computer Science graduate, I have 11 months working experience as a Business Analyst Support, I need to make a change to Cybersecurity. I have acquired Certs to help understand the fundamentals. My question is what can I do to land a role in cybersecurity with a focus on Networking. Your response will be much appreciated.
Hi Samson Firstly well done for acquiring relevant certificate, I have no doubt that will help you land that role. Firstly I think applying for a new role is challenging and it’s a numbers game , so the more you apply for the roles you seek the more chances you will have. As Keitumetse mentioned in her video it is beneficial to attend hackathons and other such networking events to meet people who work in cyber security and build a network but it will also expose you what is out there in terms of potential opportunities. I hope this helps and all the best on your quest. Thanks!
I have completed several certifications from Cisco Academy, including: 1. Introduction to Cybersecurity 2.Endpoint Security 3.Threat Management I need internship.... kindly assist 🙏
@@lehlogonolohlogi2957 hello, well done on the certifications! I’m so sorry unfortunately we don’t assist with internships but a lot of companies are offering internships and graduate programs at this time. Check out their websites, especially banks, telecommunications and tech companies.
Hello! You could, I think Unisa would be your best option if you are considering studying from home. It might be worth going through their IT program and finding out if they have cyber security or maybe do the certification that Tumi spoke about in her video. All the best!😀
