The fact that this has been uploaded only a month ago shows that there’s some who still remember Hitch. You’re my people 👍🏻

I love this piece, but to be transparent, Hitchens is one of my heroes. I never agreed with every one of his positions, but I deeply regret that I will never be able to tell him how much he and his work means to me. He was truly a giant whom is still loved by so many of us, and I say love because it is an honest descriptive of how I feel about this man. We miss you so much, Hitch!

I know exactly how you feel. I'm young, so unfortunately I discovered Christopher long after he had kicked the old bucket, but his work has truly been my biggest inspiration to leave religion behind. Christopher has achieved the only kind of immortality anyone can really hope for, and his preachments are far more benevolent than anything described in the bible.

So much inspiration from this man, one of a kind in generation. No matter if we agree or don't agree on everything that he said, his words will live as long as we are.

A hero with whom I did not always agree. A proud and vocal atheist, unafraid to tell the truth. An intellectual and wordsmith. I miss his unapologetic humor and his keen insight. He was a giant.

Dare I say it, there is something to be said for inebriation....I love Mr. Hitchens and fully agree with him in so many ways. I miss him so much and to see him resurrected would be a joyous occasion indeed...praise Hitch.

Much missed. A tremendous human being. Intellectual, wit, superb writer, great debater and style. How I wish I had seen or met this fabulous man.

Many times I cannot retire to my bed until I've listened to the sweet melodious, yet acerbic, tones of The Hitch.. and what joy it would be to hear those tones dissecting the woke brigade, and to even dish out a 'Hitch slap' where needed!

A true voice for humanity whose thoughts and words will be remembered as long as humanity exist. Very sorely missed.

Whether we agreed with him or not, the loss of his mind from this world should give us all cause for grief. What I wouldn’t give to have the benefit of his opinions on the shitshow the world has become in the last decade.

Watching this clip made me think I'd temporarily slipped into an alternate dimension of media intelligence, far removed from the present state of infantile squabbling and vapid political rhetoric.

A towering intellect who had few equals , certainly among his fellow journalists . Definitely an iconoclast who ploughed his own furrow . Sadly missed .

Cognitive dissonance was the last thing he said people should learned about, I think he was referring at his drinking habit.
Nonetheless a brilliant , simple and excellent exponent of most important topics on today's society.
The hitch words will stay with us for long time.

He was referring to religious gullibility.

Orwell feared that the world was sleep walking towards Collectivism . Hitchens seemed to desire that . I’m not sure that the post Spanish Civil War Orwell had too much in common with Hitchens.

The legacy of St Christopher is the political use of using the internet to be abusive.
