I cannot wait to read ‘Every time I go on vacation, someone dies’ while on vacation at the beach 🤭
That’s perfect timing!!
Your videos are helping me get through the hardest health time I've ever had in my life, thank you so much ❤
I'm so glad to hear they can help; I'm sending good vibes 💛
I’m currently reading Every Time I Go On Vacation Someone Dies, and I also compared it to Finlay in my mind. I love these new women’s fiction cozy adjacent books, I hope we keep getting more!!
It’s quickly becoming a fav super specific genre for me too!
to order these 5 star reads and to research the Freida tea. Apparently, I need to pull my face out of my books and your videos to stay updated on the publishing news. LOVE your vlogs!
hahahha I just randomly had a friend tell me about it, I had no idea either! And thank you so much!! ☕️💛
I actually just downloaded the Ruth Ware audiobook - I'm excited to get into it now! She always uses the same woman to narate her audiobooks and something about her voice is very comforting 🙃
I love when they use the same narrator, it does give it a comforting feeling!
I’m so glad you enjoyed One Perfect Couple. It wasn’t what I expected but I was okay with that because I really loved it!🏝️
It was different than I thought too but in a good way!
I am waiting on my hold for the new Ruth Ware. One by One was my favorite of hers so I hope I like this one.
I think you will if you enjoyed that one!
I have just binged the last few vlogs of yours... (almost 8 hours of Olivia?!) so I felt like I've been hanging out with you all day. Thanks for getting me through the day! Also a July 1995 baby 👯♀
Hahahahah that’s so many hours 🤣🫶🏻 thank you! 👯♀️
You have gotten me into thriller/mystery tyyyy
Everytime I go on vacation is going straight into my summer tbr!
Perfect time for it 🙌🏼
Why people don’t talk about Simone St. James more, I’ll never know. She is one of my favesssss ❤❤
right!!!
The Sundown Motel is one of my absolute favorite books! I really didn't enjoy the Maddy Clare book though so she's kind of hit or miss for me
I’ve got One Perfect Couple on hold at my library! Can’t wait! 🫸🪪🫳📘
I hope you enjoy!
I loved this! I enjoed the St. James and the Ware as well! Cant wait til my library gets ETIGOVSD ! I also removed my Jeneva Rose hold, thanks for saving me from that one:)
I hope you enjoy it! We seem to have similar taste, so hopefully it’s a hit 💛
I found One Perfect Couple neither thrillerly or suspensful and I LOVED One By One. I think next year when Ruth comes out with her new book I am just going to reread the Death of Mrs. Westaway, again. Because Ms. Ware is not writing what I love anymore.
But I did really enjoy Every Time I Go On Vacation Someone Dies. That was a great time.
Awh, I'm sorry to hear that! hopefully she'll write another you enjoy soon.
Thank you for your vlogs. I look forward to them every week. I will watch anything and everything that you post. 😊
That’s so sweet, thank you 💛
going to purchase "Everytime I Go On Vacation..." immediately if not sooner! 😇and same for Jeneva Rose - her books have been total misses for me.
I hope you enjoy!! ☕️💛
I have One Perfect Couple coming to me from the library soon. I'm stoked.
I hope you enjoy it!
adds two books to my running tbr. thanks. lol
Hehe you’re welcome 🙊
I just finished Every Time I Go On Vacation I absolutely loved it !! I can’t wait for more 🍹
I’m excited for the next one!
Need to get my hands on Everytime I go on Vacation someone dies!!! Sounds so good 💯❤ 👍
such a good summer read!
🕵♂🔪 One Perfect Couple was also a 5 star for me. all the elements were perfect. I wanted more spooky with Murder Road. Didn;t really like the characters. I was tempted by the Jeneva Rose cover, but I kept seeing more people say it wasn't great...soo I 've stayed away.
I think if the library has it and you wanna try, that would be the perfect way to go! But I definitely wouldn't recommend paying a full 27.99 for that one...
Read Murder Road and really enjoyed it can’t wait to read the others you’ve read🥰🔪
It was a good one!
This whole footnote discussion sent me right to Terry Pratchett, who is likely my favorite author. Have you ever tried his Discworld series? I highly highly highly recommend the audios. Borrow through your library if you can. You can start with pretty much any title.
I haven't read those!
Not a new new release, but fairly new and a recent read for me that I LOVED is The Sword of Kaigen by M L Wang
I’ve heard such good things on that one!
I didn’t love home is where the bodies are I knew who it was the whole time . I didn’t enjoy it . 😂 it was just like a sibling rivalry the whole time .
It wasn’t good 😭 I need her to write some more rich people dramas because the one she wrote was toooo good!
37:10 I wanted to comment on this because I was actually on the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad 3 (BP3 our season was the last season before they did Bachelor in Paradise due to a former cast member’s passing) and I’ve ALWAYS said that after my season (Ben Flajnik Season 16) that it changed so much!!! We were not allowed to have our social media handles active at all! They didn’t want people knowing anything about us but now it just seems like they don’t cast anymore for what the purpose of the show was supposed to be, they only choose people that will “help ratings” or whoever that fits their criteria for how they’re wanting the season to play out. Anywho…I just wanted to say that I agree with you on that xo
oh wow, so interesting to have the insider info!!
@@oliviareadsalatte I’ve always said, I could write a book about it 🤣🤣🤣
I NEED Every Time I Go On Vacation Someone Dies yesterday. It sounds so perfect 👌🏻
I knew you didn't like Home is where the bodies are based on your face. I based my feelings on how cool the cover was. The title tells you where the bodies are. This is why I barely buy physical books because being stuck with the physical copy is the worst! And I read by listening to audiobooks. If I love the book, I'll buy a physical copy.
😭🤣 the library is definitely saving me from owning bad books this year
I was so excited for “Every time I go on vacation someone dies”…however it was just a bit lackluster for me. It was an average 3* but I wished it was a 5* for me
🗡️ Love your vlogs! They’re perfect to watch/listen to when I have to clean my house. I love mysteries and thrillers, for some reason mostly when I’m sick 🤔 Guess misery loves company lol
I love them when I’m not feeling great, physically or mentally, and I think it’s because it’s distracting trying to solve it! 💛
Great vlog 📚🧋🌈🍄
Thank you!!
im saving murder road for spooky season! i splurged and got the UK cover it looks soooooooo good
I hope you enjoy!
I completely agree on home is where the bodies are…it was so obvious I was really hoping she was making it obvious on purpose 😭 the concept was so interesting ugh it’s disappointing
I was hoping it was a red herring too!
lol I’m the same way with thrillers! I need to read them on audio or I 100% skip and spoil myself 🥹
Right?!
Try the book A Hundred Suns.
JAKE IS SOOOO CUTE❤
He really is 😭 🐕
I can't remember, have you read Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson?? I'm definitely going to pick up Every time I go on Vacation and One Perfect Couple!🔪
I haven’t read that one!
@@oliviareadsalatte it breaks the fourth wall a lot! I started it but had to return it to the library and am debating if I want to put it on hold again 😂
I finished Home Is Where The Bodies Are yesterday. I knew who it was at the very beginning. The way they would react and what they would say was very weird, so the red flags popped up immediately. Overall, it was okay, but it wasn't a jaw dropping book at all.
Yeah, it wasn’t as if they were giving little clues with what the character was saying. It felt like the author didn’t trust the reader to pick up on subtle hints at all.
I enjoyed The Perfect Marriage until the end and then I felt it made like zero sense. I didn’t like You Shoudn’t Have Come Here AT ALL. I want to read this one but I’m super nervous. 20:07
I honestly think if you want to, do it through the library if you can. The only one by her I’ve loved was one of us is dead, I just liked the perfect marriage but it went on too long to me.
😍❤️

Not one of the books you read in this vid but You Shouldn't Have Come Here was one of my least favorites last year
That one was SO BAD
What is this Frieda drama she’s talking about lol
The Housemaid is essentially a rewrite of The Last Mrs Parrish.
