These drums sound great to me, especially given the relative price. Would like to hear with replacement clear heads. i also appreciate the fact the various demonstrations hosted here always give a clear idea as to the sound of ALL the drums.

There's not a drumset on the planet Patrik Benek can't make sound good. And a good drumset even better.
I've owned two Mapex sets and can only say good things about their sound and quality. But I'm not fond of
16/18/20 inch depths on modern bass drums, make all you want, but have a 14" option too.
