as a wheelchair user my CCW is in an off-body chest bag, not a mil-spec chest rig and I use a trigger guard hostler as an extra layer of safety, in a bag with a clip or anchor point Meant for trigger holsters.
I like everything you mentioned. I use mine in a nightstand drawer. It’s nice to know that from a dead sleep I’m not touching the trigger from a draw grab.
Hello, I also like the idea of knowing that if I wake up from a dead sleep, and need my firearm, I won’t accidentally pull the trigger. When I’m down at the barn working on my cars or tractors, I don’t like carrying my firearm on my belt. Im very comfortable setting it in my toolbox or on the bench. Cook holsters made mine and fits perfectly. I can’t see me using a trigger guard as a concealed carry. That would make me nervous. just my opinion for what it’s worth.
Been using this on my Glock 26 for about 4 years now. Love it. I can keep my hand on my gun in my hoodie pocket when needed and it feels great. A little practice and adjustment is all good.
Just catching a falling gun can cause a grabbing finger to enter the trigger guard circle if it’s not shielded. My main use is to cover the trigger on the nightstand or under my pillow, and if I need to walk the perimeter it’s still safe during loose carry in a jacket pocket; no “keys hit the trigger” scenarios. My con is waist band naked carry (AKA “Mexican carry”) can slip. Unlike your preferred “tie it down” use, I use a braided paracord leash (so no loop to snag) then my weak side hand to tug it off. This is so much better than Israeli (not chambered) carry. Your cons are stuff a competitive combat shooter would raise. For low threat home security (you don’t owe drug dealers money! Etc) it’s perfect and much less bulky than a Blackhawk Serpa with paddle removed.
I thought I was the only "Pillow guy"-great use for them. Very fast -hands on. I sure hope it never comes to that, but the potential for defense is quite a bit quicker (I feel that way).
Why isn’t anyone mentioning the biggest reason for buying a trigger guard and that’s in the pants pocket, I haven’t seen any thoughts about concealing a gun in the pants pocket?!!! This is the only reason I’d buy one but there’s no reviews about carrying it in the pants pockets
It depends on the holster. Some are too minimal. Some add width to the firearm (might as well use a full Kydex holster). Some have crappy retention. Advantages: Adds no bulk. You can load and unload the gun with the trigger covered. Conceals well. Disadvantages: To re-holster, you must remove the holster, insert the gun, then put the rig back in your pants. The gun is against your body, so you're sweating on it and if your gun has sharp edges it's not comfortable. That said... I switch back and forth between the Essential Holsters 'Naked Holster' and the Zero-Carry for my EDC which is a Sig P-320C in .45 ACP (she's a thick girl). Both work well. The Zero Carry has a built-in tab that acts as a claw/wing to pull the butt in tight to your body, but it's not really necessary and makes the draw slower. A good belt is still required (both use belt clips). I have a laundry basket full of holster and I pretty much hate them all... sometimes less is more.
You could glue a piece of leather on the inside portion to keep sweat off of you. Shape the leather as needed. This assuming you carry on your body. I have mine attached to a ring inside a dedicated pocket of my fanny pack. It's a tactical pack which holds the pistol securely and with a quick pull of the zipper, your weapon is out and being released from the trigger guard. Agreed it takes practice.
I have the Raven Concealment Vanguard for my Glock 26 it has a leather strap not a lanyard for a much more consistent draw if you're considering carrying this way check out the Vanguard
I've messed with these guards a little, but I personally dislike them. They can come off, or hang up, all things you mentioned. I personally prefer something like a slim IWB kydex, like the Mission First holsters or something similar, even for just slipping it unto a pocket (for smaller guns, of course). I just prefer that consistent, full coverage, etc. Just my 5 cents' worth. Especially with a striker fire, the cons just outweigh the risks (in my opinion).
Just a thought for your channel, it might be helpful to add in some more B-roll of the subject of the video. We also all love some of that sweet range footage, that's why we all watch Lukas right? lol! Awesome content!
Hello, Cook holsters made mine. They make them to order and the wait time is around eight weeks. I purchased mine during Covid, and they had employee and production issues, that may have changed. I would imagine Amazon would have a selection of trigger guards.
bro...WHERE THE HELL DO WE BUY THESE? I've been looking for 1 for my X-macro with TLR 7 sub for days now, I'm not taking the light off, I'm out at night quite a bit
Check out Gunner's custom holsters, it's not this one but looks like a better product than this one. Wish he had mentioned this product. Probably did it on purpose.
Can’t believe I won! Thank you so so much. Absolutely loving your videos and reviews. They help me more than you

Can you share the anchor your you are using for your parachord?

For a revolver, it’s optional. For a semi auto, it’s a must.
Exactly! 👍👍
Agreed, though sometimes a Glock factory mini strap is good, with the belt loop wings cut off or trimmed down.
Unless it's double action.

Could you please provide a link to this specific holster or at least let us know who manufacturers it?

Can you link the guy who makes it compatible with the light

Love mines with the clip draw

I saw that holster at academy sports the other day and I love the idea! Cool video
I have a rounded gear TG IWB with a clip I find it works fine never liked the lanyard set up

Why did you not say which one this is? Where did you get it?
just google the name of your gun like "trigger guard for ____" and go to the shopping tab

just google the name of your gun like "trigger guard for ____" and go to the shopping tab
Not the same one but Google gunners custom holster
Congrats Tanner 🎉🎉
Please let me know who to order from. Thank you!
I would use this in like a bag or something…
How about the X-FER V2 Weapon Mounted Light Holster? Love to see a review of that.
You've got to get one with a belt clip. Deep concealment with consistent placement. I love mine.
Where can I find
@@elvisjames non weapon light would be raven vanguard v2. Idk any trigger guard style belt clip holsters for use with weapon light tho.
I was thinking more open to attachments
I think this would be perfect for a chest carrying case or a fanny pack.
Hello, I don’t carry a fanny pack or backpack, but I could see that it might work. I think it would work in a briefcase or range bag as well.
Where can I purchase that trigger guard?

Why does it look like you are NDing every time you draw? I keep seeing what looks to be a muzzle flash.
The one for M&P Shield is garbage.. no retention .. easily dislodged like the Penguin.
The LCP models have solid lock up.

I don't know where he got this particular one, I just ordered one for my x macro with a tlr8a at Gunner's custom holsters.
Check out essential holsters. Best trigger guard iwb holster imho.
THE QUESTION IS WHERE TO BUY? WHERE THE LINK?
just google the name of your gun like "trigger guard for ____" and go to the shopping tab

Lets face facts, these are not a primary holster. I think you will find a con with any holster system. These are a "Sometimes: use product.
The issue of covering the trigger is Mandatory for semi-auto handguns, but NOT important for revolvers. Wheelguns rule for CCW/EDC!
