Not sure which is the best so far of what they sound like right now, but the Raised Letter K5LA on these are VERY LOUD. I do miss what they sounded like before the Raised Letter horns.
While most of these Raised Letter K5LAs almost all of them have now are pretty good (2307 and 2310 being the clear best), it's just a shame that the diversity of different horns among them is going down. Especially felt it hard when 2306 came back and it lost its old Hybrid "K5HL" K5LA. I hope 2302 lasts a long time before its horn gets replaced (though I don't care about 2301, because it's easily the worst of the entire fleet and needs an improvement).
And the new CEM Cab Cars will all have K5CAs guaranteed. Alstom actually has a policy that forces all the CEM Cabs to have only K5CAs, and the railroads aren't allowed to swap them out for anything else.
I wonder why Coaster Bombardier cab car 2304 hasn't lead any southbound Coaster trains lately. I just want to hear cab car 2304's current horn sound, assuming it's a raised letter K5LA like other Coaster Bombardier cab cars (except 2301 with original).
I found a video where an amtrak F40PH almost ran to a bicycle because it was sent to track 1 because track 2 freight traffic and 90278 pulled the emergency brakes
2303 is the worst for me, a K5LA only playing 2 notes is never a fun noise. I actually love 2301 for it’s squeaky K5LA, and at full blast it sounds fine, I’ve heard much worse from coaster especially at the tail end of the cab car’s original horns.

It wasn't paint, just a wrap. It was peeled off by a combination of the wind and foamed deciding to steal some of its wrap.
