Back when Coaster Bombardier cab car 2303 had the perfect sounding K5LA horn along with its original EMD steel bell. Later, cab car 2303's original horn started sounding bad with some of its horn bells fitted with choke fittings to restrict air flow due to train horn noise complaints. Today, cab car 2303 is equipped with a newer raised letter K5LA horn along with a new Graham White 373 Series electronic bell. Unfortunately, cab car 2303's newer K5LA horn has its #3A and #5 bells dead, fouling its newer horn sound.

It really helps ur point when there's an engineer that knows how to really quill the horn.

2303 still sounds great even if it's chocked. Plus 6903 is back on the Surfline. Still sounds great!

2303 has that horn but they just put a choke in it so if u remove it you will hear that k5la music again
(Message to coaster) REMOVE THE CHOKE RIGHT THIS INSTANT.

@@trainguy110 Yeah... the train horn haters just need to move away from crossings to not hear horns. Sadly this horn was choked, replaced by a K5CA then a raised letter K5

LOVE that horn! Too bad it's choked now, but it could be worse... A million things have to go wrong for a railroad to use P2 horns though, so I still love 2303 all the same.

@AmtrakSurfliner768 It's a beauty!! Metrolink needs to use their K5's. I bet a lot of those idle K5LA's sound pretty good.

This is a great collection of an outstanding horn being well-played by the engineer. The last one in the set is fantastic! Bright, loud, and clear! Nice job on these!
