- Understanding how vocal effects work, and using a quality multi-effects processor is a key to creating a unique vocal impression. I do a vocal demo of dedicated FX2000 sections such as “Reverb”, “Delay”, “Modulation” and more. Watch all of this presentation now to hear it, and see if the FX2000 might be a good addition to your studio. *Vocal Demo starts at 4:30. #VocalEffects #BehringerFX2000 #MultiEffectsProcessor
Just about everyone uses effects on vocals to some degree, so trying to get an idea of how a multi-effects processor works in this regard without a raw vocal demo can be difficult. I received so many demands for this demo that I simply couldn’t refuse them. With this, I hope this video serves useful to everyone interested.
Last time I watched this i didn't have this unit. Great job explaining things!
Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
Excellent! Helped me make my choice (yes) to get this unit. I always appreciate your videos.
Thanks so much for watching. 👍🏿
Thank you for the demo. I think this is a great unit, especially for the price.
You're most welcome. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
Great video man! Thank you
Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
What a great presentation, and very informative. This video helped a lot for this FX processor.
Thanks for watching and sharing. 👍🏿
I'm thinking this item is going to be next in my vocal venture. I've been looking for effects like these for quite a while for my CB base rig. May sound strange for such an old hobby but enthusiasts of this old school following are actually running wide band Hi-Fi on AM these days. Great demo vid sir. Thanks for taking the time to sample so many different vocal audio sounds.
📻 Buying a fancy FX unit for a dang ol’ CB radio? 🤯
I’m rather curious. I don’t know much about the hobby, just that it got really popular in the 1970’s with “Convoy.” 🚛 I’ve read random Wikipedia articles about HAM operators, DXing, slow-scan TV, and software-defined radio.
I’d heard that people still use CB like a hybrid of talk radio and a “party line.” 🎙 It sounds like big fun, although I’d rather not spend my night being force-fed the hottest new conspiracy theories… 😬
When I purchased this unit a few years ago I figured I could model a complete sound the way you can with a whole bank of pedals. Boy was I ever disappointed. Two effects at best. Now I am not saying that using it as a single effects pedal gives me a choice of just about every effect a person could want and that effect can be radically modified. But as a complete processor to lay up multiple effects on top of one another, well it comes in as a complete failure.
Tenho um aparelho desse, nao sabia mexer muito nele, e achei muito interessante essas funçoes que ele apresenta.Muito obrigado pelo video, mais um inscrito e mais um gostei.Abraço.
I like this guy. Great explanation :)
Thanks so much for watching. It is appreciated. 👍🏿
Thanks for the demo. This may be the best money I'll ever spend if Sweetwater eventually gets one in stock. : ]
You're most welcome. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
They're in stock as of today 04/30/21, check Sweetwater again. Great value!
@@rockenrollbass Got one on the way, thanks!
So are you able to EQ your vocals at the same time you're applying the FX, or can the FX high/low pass be adjusted? I tested onboard FX on the Behringer mixers, and it's quite terrible. There's no EQ for the FX, so reverb tends to be heavy on the bass end. I'm thinking about picking one one of these up and ditching the onboard FX.
Are you going to do a video on how to use the unit in a mix? For example. How to take a raw DI vocal recording and run it through the unit and put some reverb on the track, and then put some chorus on it afterwards. Or any other effects one at a time.
I explain how to do this in detail in my video “Tascam DP24/DP32 Digital Portastudio: Using External Effects” on this channel. You can use the FX2000 to accomplish this same goal on the DP as well as other units. The configuration process is basically the same. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
Great presentation and sounds nice!
Would it make sense to use this with BBE 882i sonic maximizer?
Yes. It's suggested that you place the BBE last in your signal chain. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for doing this! I just started getting into using external hardware for recording, recently bought an external preamp and an external compressor, have been looking into getting an eq and stumbled upon this. I've watched several videos about it now and I only have one question. Everybody seems to be running it through a mixer, but would it be possible to use it through a regular audio interface? I am using a 3rd gen focusrite scarlett 18i8. If you (or anyone) could answer that I would appreciate it greatly!
We know that people use a mixer in this regard because they often include AUX send/return functionality that allows users to apply and control an effect on all channels and subgroups. If your using a software DAW, your audio interface may allow you to do the same if configured properly. It's suggested that you consult your DAW's tutorial on how to set that up if it's possible with your environment. Thanks for watching and sharing. 👍🏿
Nice video…the ‘hall’ what is so small?
I Need this
Hello. Thanks for sharing. I have one of this units stacked in a tight rack over an 11R and i notice it gest a little hot over time. Since the two small holes it has un the lower face are covered by the upper face of the 11R should i be worried? i mean can heat damage the unit? (it doesn't get that hot, but i rather ask). Thanks in advance.
Excessive and extreme heat can damage electronics in general but it sounds like you're good to go. Thanks so much for watching. 👍🏿
Good Demo and explanation! Can you speak or sing other songs with each of those presets please? Doing presets is great when there's more examples to hear. !: )
I thought it was okay when I just got it. And it is, if you are on a budget, but for reverb I bought a Strymon big sky and for delay a Nemesis delay, because the options of this module are pretty limited and started to bore me quickly
*This is exactly WHY guitar center, american musical supply and zzounds refuse to carry BEHRINGER BRAND! This unit is $150 us and sounds like a hi-dollar LEXICON/TC ELECTRONIC..! The Behringer ADA8200 is all the same with mic 8 preamps comparable to units costing thousands of dollars and for only $250.*
I can hear the effects but when i try to export the effects on my audio i dont hear the effects. It Sound like my daw not exporting the effects from my hardware how do i fix this?
Can you use two effects simultaneously. Like reverb and chorus lets say?
Do they make one for handling multiple singers?
I would say yes, you're looking at it or you can always buy more than one. They are very inexpensive, especially the used ones. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
Is it possible to use this device to take a dry-through signal and a wet signal to your audio interface? That way when I record I have an unaffected vocal take which I can still use..?
Yes you can, since the unit has 2 separate identical channels. With this, you can route your signals the way you described. Thanks for watching and sharing. 👍🏿
@@PowercoatMusic That's perfect then! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it.
Also if you have a patchbay which has “half normal mode”, you could split the signal prior to the unit and record one dry and one wet signal.
@@MCEEZR Thanks for that Matty. 'Appreciate it.
can i use this to process behringer RD9 drum machine sounds?
Yes you can. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
👍👍💖
Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
I know you're a busy man but could you tell me how to connect this unit to my new DP32SD please?
I explain how to do this in detail in my video “Tascam DP24/DP32 Digital Portastudio: Using External Effects” on this channel. Just take that video slow, and you’ll be using the FX2000 with the DP. Also, check out the DP Playlist on this channel. A lot of good information there. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
Thank you very much for your reply, I'll check that video over the weekend, peace and love to you Brother Man ✌️💜
Is there girls voice. Setting.
I can no longer find this item on the web🥺
tôi ở việt nam đã mua 3d fx 2000 nó rất hay ,nhưng tôi phải nhờ bạn cài đặt hộ

If you have an xr 18 mixer, why would this be needed
Great video. I'm European but your choice of song had made me ready to invade Iraq for oil (again)
In all seriousness, the Del / Rev is what I was most curious by, are these effect combinations fixed or can we build our own? I know the unit has 100 custom pre-sets users can use but they seem to be based of existing effects that are modified. I want to be able to combine a delay, reverb and a touch of chorus perhaps.
You can definitely build your own multiple effects sets with this unit. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
@@PowercoatMusic Any chance of a video demonstration? :-)

Of ALL the songs to sing... Hopefully you added speech so that I can get an idea of how it'll sound via voiceover and hip hop
efek mixser dijital midas 👍
Behringer isn't the best when it comes to customer service, Does this thing fail alot?
I've had mine for years. Hasn't failed at all yet. Thanks for watching.
MURRRICCAAAAAAAA!
Not a fan of the song, but a good demo thanks.
