Another tip for people to know is that you should always use your own vendor from a landing pad you've built at an outpost for upgrading your ship. Your purchases accumulate at your landing pad vendor and never reset. So if you come across a ship that is actually worth over any other normal vendor's total credits they have on hand (which is usually around that 72k mark) (may be more depending on if you've already done updrades at that specific spaceport vendor)...but you can then maximize your selling of ships by doing this method in the video at your own pad until those credits run low. I have several landing pads with over 300k and then I will steal a ship, check the actual value pricepoint at a normal vendor and then check it with mine and basically sell it to myself if the price is over a normal vendor's credit limit. Oh then that ship shows up in the buy a ship inventory at your own vendor landing pad.
I was wondering why there was always a decrepentcy. You explained it well, it's all about you upgrading your ship. I. E spending your credits with the same vendor or your outpost. Thanks for clearing that one up. Only another 1000 to go 👌😜
I've done this many times on PC - it's very addicting, and your credits can add up very fast. However, if a player takes advantage of a glitch in the game, they run the risk of their save files becoming corrupt. I do not know if this is the reason why I had to leave the main game, and go to new game+. It most likely is not the reason, because there is a "dynamic form id" bug, where if your save files become too large (from prolonged game play in the main story, my save files were about 80 mb each), the save files can become so large and damaged, crashes happen more and more often, resulting ultimately in an unplayable save file. So I just wanted to mention the possibility, please keep this in mind if you ever try to get away with a glitch in the game.
Yes. Ive noticed this issue. Any type of glitching used on this game causes a rift. Then it starts to further glitch causing the files to be corrupt. Both of my games have this corrupt problem. First game I tried everything and of course it corrupt. 2nd game I did minimal, only ship spawning and tried the click glitch once on the ship and it still caused a rift and corrupted. In both games ships stopped opening, no enemies. Seems like no matter what we do it still corrupts.(on Xbox x)
Yeah, me too. (XB Series X). I found the same issue right after doing this glitch the old way. After trying everything possible, I ended up having to load an old save. So I lost a lot of play time. 😑 No more for me. lol I was lucky and had an old save file.
Dang this sounds real cuz it's happening to me to I had to create a new character and new game😅. So if I'm able to load an older save my old story could still be saved? I reall miss some of my modded ships😢 thanks for this🤙
I don't glitch and I don't use the free register thing, tried it twice on PC and even though it showed the unregistered ship, it sold the one before or after it, but I already had to go to NG twice because the game got to big, it hasn't happened this play through yet, I'm hoping they fixed it or will fix it. I usually will start crashing out of the game when my game gets too big.
Does anyone know if having a very powerful PC would make this less likely to happen, as apposed to doing this on an average PC? (both for this glitch, and the Dynamice ID Form issue)
Thanks for your two videos. It is still working on the 02/24/2024 after the last update. I have just done it with mouse + keyboard on the Steam version. This is helpful.
If you're having trouble getting a ship you want to sell to appear beside a registered ship to do the glitch, you can change your home ship and it'll reshuffle the ships order.
I don't worry about registering ships because I have a ship I made that's worth about 170,000 credits and I just duplicate it over the ships I capture and register. Then, no matter what the ship was worth before, it's now worth 160,000 from Stroud or Deimos spaceyards. If I used the vendor to modify or Build a ship then they have more credits and I get the full 172,000 for my ships. I can make a million a day doing this.
when i try it, it says you can not sell home ship, even if it switches to what i am trying to sell and if i use the frontier, it says this ship cannot be sold at this time.
Make sure the ship you are trying to sell is not set as your home ship. Has to be from a ship you own to a ship you do not own. Also the button press with a controller you have to hit LB or RB a millisecond before hitting A. Its a pretty deliberate press. Same for PC but it is harder to get it to work. I have confirmed a couple days ago that this is still working.
I had a few unregistered ships in my inventory and I tried this with one of them. When I came back a few hours later I noticed that ALL my unregistered ships were gone. Has anyone encountered this?
Maybe make the unreg ships homeships, just so you can fly them at least once, then back to your usual landing pad, and then switch back to one of your normal reg home ships. This 'might' stop the unreg ships from disappearing..? Not sure, will need testing..
Never heard of that bug before. Ive had a bug where I had an invisible ship on the landing bay but never a permanent one. Try reloading a save and trying the ship selling exploit again.
@@circuitscore ok fixed it, Ya was there for a couple of hours but bit the bullet deleted all saves made a new one and restarted the console. Teaches me to try my first exploit. Lol
Not 100 percent new but I just found out you can do it with RB and A as well. Also I had some requests to show people how to do it on PC. Just trying to get the most updated information out there for everyone.
if you just sell at the demos staryard, or a couple other star yards, they captain guy, or techs, have 180k per reset. makes it bit easier mass sell several ships.
Why bother with this exploit, and lose time, when creds are so fraking easy to make on this game ?? This is nonsense, man, especially for those of us already in NG+ ! I am in NG+ 3 and in the first 10 min Î have already 100k just from a couple missions ! After you upgrade the Frontier ( and with 200-300k you can make her a beast) - well, after that creds starts rolling, just use the Rangers missions terminal and you get tons of creds from missions and 5x more by selling the guns/armor you get from those missions ! You reach one million mark in 1h, without a sweat ! And I'm not even talking about building an AMP factory on Jemison, something who only takes 30 min and a trip to Venus, then you get unlimited creds raining constantly... So, again, tell me, why bother with all this useless gymnastic ? !
Agreed scavenging credits adds up very quick. I already have over 1 Million credits haha. I still do love stealing ships in this game. One of my favorite parts of this game so if I can get the full value then why not.

This is an excellent idea. I will be doing this ASAP.
That’s incredible! I had no idea where that money was coming from! So you’re basically investing in yourself for yourself.
WOW!! Thanks; now I'll have to go and build/learn about building a landing pad!

No problem! Also good to hear that is still works. I dont think a lot of people know this can be done with K+M.
Man, i wish i knew this yesterday!
Awesome!
This worked for me on PC, thank you!
Glad to hear it still works!

Ive done that as well although I had one time where a ship refused to leave the last slot haha.
It took me about 5 tries on PC with no controller but It worked!! Only level 24 so I appreciate the extra $$$.
No problem! It's tricky but it does work. Glad you got it!
I did it first try! thanks!
That's what I'm talking about! I hope they never patch this.

That's a solid idea although I thought they patched the ship duplication glitch. Does it still work on the latest update?
@@circuitscore Still works. Did it six times today.
Still works on 5/21/24 in Akila City ship services.
That is what I like to hear! Thank you for the update. This is one of those exploits I hope is never patched.
Frontier XXX just landed in New Atlantis 😮. I give you likes
when i try it, it says you can not sell home ship, even if it switches to what i am trying to sell and if i use the frontier, it says this ship cannot be sold at this time.

I have not had that issue. I have had unregistered ships disappear before but not all at once.

Not sure, will need testing..
Wonder if you could program a macro to do this?
I'm sure you could with the right keyboard!
This exploit works 2-3 times on cloud gaming and then it boots you out and the exploit doesn’t work anymore.
Huh that is really strange. I haven't tried it while cloud gaming yet.
I absolutely hate hate hate cloud gaming. But I suck and have a Xbox one. No choice
@@jenniferhermanson8969 I refuse to buy a new system for one game (so far). It’s ridiculous.
I've been doing it like this for months
Nice! I just found out you can use RB + A as well. Wanted to make sure the most up to date info is out there for everyone!
I did this and now I have a permanent ship at the jamison dock, On xbox so no way to fix.

Dosnt work destroyed my save dont do this cant belive op would post this 😔
How did it destroy your save if you couldn't get it to work? I've done this hundreds of times. No issues here.
Does not work
I dont think its been patched yet. Give it another go it should still work.
I think it's patched asof 1-25-24
Are you on Steam?? Or Xbox?
tried it on xbox, still worked.
It works. NVM 😆
This selling your ship trick isn't a new method I am using this for 2 months already!
Not 100 percent new but I just found out you can do it with RB and A as well. Also I had some requests to show people how to do it on PC. Just trying to get the most updated information out there for everyone.
I done this and it changed my registered ship to the unregistered ship
Never had that happen in the 10 ships that I have done. Unlucky you. Now you have to sell that one the same way😉
I don't think I've had this problem before. I'll have to do some testing.
if you just sell at the demos staryard, or a couple other star yards, they captain guy, or techs, have 180k per reset. makes it bit easier mass sell several ships.
I will check that out! Thanks for the heads up!
Yes but this unregisteres the ship you start on…
Interesting. I'll have to check on that. I don't think it unregistered my revelation.
