We Need to Talk About Our New Superhero Thriller Short Film: NO VACANCY
Let’s start with some of the creative inspirations behind our superhero thriller short film, NO VACANCY:
Now, let me explain…
My name is Jay Sherer and I’m the co-writer and co-producer of NO VACANCY, the short film we’re shooting later this year. And I want you to be as excited about this film as we are.
Investigative journalist Leigh Larson travels to a remote roadside motel where her past sins will come to haunt her. That’s the logline. But it’s more than that…
It’s a film about shame, guilt, and isolation. It also weaves in themes dealing with misinformation and the media. These are the things most of us had to deal with during the pandemic. But don’t worry, this isn’t a political film, it’s a superhero thriller.
NO VACANCY’s screenplay is in the Top 10% of projects on Coverfly. And we’re planning on working with the same team we worked with to shoot Star Wars: Rivals. So you can be sure we’ll bring a high level of quality and polish to the film.
