I went to Serbia and volunteered at a shelter with 1400 dogs in August. Plenty of both of these breeds. We rescued an extremely well built Cane Corse with the sweetest temperament. She peed when we approached her. When we took her to the shelter nothing phased her and it's very intense being around that many dogs. She just didn't care. Went wherever she wanted. Never barked. Gentle with smaller dogs. The only problem was when she wanted to be pet and got up on your lap you weren't stopping her. :) I want to go back and bring her to the states when I get the money together.
They love to lean on you also.

I think the Cane Corso is a better family guardian, while the Dogo Argentino is a better and a little stronger independent guardian

Better dogs for farm work. Dogs......no. They're good for protection for you and hunting wild hog and Puma. Come on. Do more research. You might need a Kangal.
@@lsb9881 I bred and raise hunting line dogos. When I had livestock I had a 180lb Tibetan mastiff. I've had kangals and alabais before.

might be the other way around. my corsos shed so much! I'm sweeping and vacuuming 2-3 times a day.
My Dogo is an inside dog as I live in a cold climate. Couldn't ask for a better house dog. He gets to run everyday, weather permitting. That's key with a Dogo. Exercise. Lots of love, good food and exercise.
I had a Dogo, he lived to be 15 years old. Very very high prey drive! Went through a barb wire fence in Northern Wisconsin to go after a bear. Great with kids and people. A quiet dog also.
Any deaf issues on your dogo?
My cane corso was very friendly and sweet, she had a scary bark though. She died of bone cancer at 3 pm. Very distraught over that age died in my car on the way to the hospital.

A cane dog breeder left his pregnant wife with his cane corsos at home while he ran to the store. Wen he came back he found his wife mauled to death by two of his cane corsos. This is just one case. Imagine how many there is wen they hold the number one spot by 50 percent. I heard this from a dog breeder. I love animals and specially dogs. But as far as the cane f that breed. Put them all down.

In terms of health cane corso is currently going through what the German shepherd and then the Doberman and then the Rottweiler went through - people are intentionally breeding them excessively large and ruining their health. It’s up to the consumer to stop this, the breeders only do what you want them to. If you see anybody advertising 180lbs dogs when 120lbs is the upper limit, challenge them and let them know you disagree
Both are spectacular, I guess I lean towards the Cane Corso

Unfortunately, people are ruining the Dogo (along with other breeds I’m sure) by breeding for size. More size equals less endurance.
It’s a great dog. Very protective of the family. Dogo’s are very dog aggressive though. For the record I’ve had 5 before anyone tells me different.

One being I don't know if I could keep up with a dogo. Two being I've had a lot of Presa Canarios and so I'm prejudiced. Lol

I have 2 Dogo Argentinos so I’m kinda partial. They are superb animals, very strong and high energy and very loving. They love our 4 lb Chihuahua and our cats too.
Both are winners in my eyes. I just love dogs, it's that simple

My Dogo is 7 now but when he was between 2 and 5 he was like a bullet. He used to blow me away at his speed. He's still really fast and agile just slowing down a little.

I absolutely love my corso. First time owner of the breed but I’ve been around dogs for all 21 years of my life. Amazing dog, looks amazing, great personality and great intimidation factor for protection. Definitely get some training help if you aren’t a trainer, but I highly recommend.
I had a corso but lost him to parvol disease. Almost had a dogo but passed. Didn’t know bout the breed

One is a farm dog the other one is a hunting dog. The farm dog is just going to be a better family pet which is the Cane Corso .But if you're into hunting get a dogo just be careful with them around kids they have a really high prey drive.

I think the Dogo will always be tempted to attack other dogs. They bite their prey at the neck and suffocate it to death. It’s too scary. You don’t want to have to worry if your dog is going to attack your neighbors dog.
The dogo is a pack hunter, works amazingly well with other dogs! Cane Corso is 100x better guardian, dogo is for hunting!!!

I have a Kane Corso , rottie and pitbull. My male Kane Corso is super protective and crazy strong but a big playful baby. My female rottie is very protective also but not as playful as the other big goofball. And the pitbull just loves everyone.
Corso, if I were experienced training a dog past, come, poo outside and No but I’m not so I’ll stick to small and medium sized dogs. They are beautiful though. ❤❤
I’m glad you know yourself. It takes a very experienced trainer and very high tolerance for messing up. When you see the results, payoff is level seven W., and then we have our ups and downs. Missing every day you have to have a training session it’s true now we are on our way to clean this bag and she has a great temperament. Great protector.

Cane Corso translates Dog Bodyguard. Never owned a Dogo, but can speak for the Italian Matiff personally, and it is the only dog I will ever own again. They are ancient war dogs and once were also used for hunting and guarding and protecting members of the royal families.

BOTH are gnarly & majestic dog breeds; ultimately, it just depends on what you want in your dog, (in addition to a family dog). But, strictly regarding a family dog, in general, it seems that the Cane Corso is the safer bet. However, i personally believe that ANY dog can be a great family dog. Absolutely, including Dogos

In my personal opinion, for a longer lifespan, the dogo argentino for overall powerhouse strength. They’re both really good, but the Cane Corso is stronger for agility, the dogo argentino for friendliness around humans and other dogs the Cane Corso for better guard protection it’s pretty even but I’d have to give it to the Cane Corso. Overall they’re great choices for family and house protection but I have to give it to the Cane Corso buy slight edge. 🐶 💪
Dodo wins because corsos although big n strong they have breathing disadvantages as long term battles can bring heart attacks in those dogs .
