Thought I'd readjust the cooler as I was having issues with it sitting right - as I went to take it off after loosening the screws, it pulled the whole CPU out! Tiny bonus.
If the sideways AMD logo on the shroud annoys one, the four screws holding that to the cooler are square form.
And can be screwed off, rotated 90 degrees and screwed back in, so that the AMD logo is right side up.

when I did mine, I was kind of scared... you have to put a bit of pressure on the board to get the screws started... scared me, I thought I was going to damage the board. but I got it on... and another thing... I had an extra AM3 heat sink and checked it... it fit the board and could work if I had only gotten the processor. I absolutely love my new rig! The B450 board is so nice and my RGB lighting works great in it... my KB even syncs with the system!
