    My favourite part of the celeste community is that everyone, including the bots, try to get as far away from the heart as humanely possible after collecting it.

      if you have exactly the right vertical position and speed, you can be above the spikes one frame and below them on the next frame, so you aren't considered to have hit them

      It's hardcoded for upwards facing spikes that if your hurtbox has at least one pixel below them, you don't die. This was implemented for the chapter 1 B-Side, where you can grab on a wall inside of spikes on a jumpthrough.
