The fact that they are described as "scrapped stories" is really suspicious to me. As MatPat said, it's weird that they would be "scrapped", but still appear like normal. My first thought is that the books actually exist in the fnaf universe. I'm not saying that the stories are canon, but that the books themselves exist in the fnaf universe. Perhaps the stories from book 12 were things that Fazbear Entertainment didn't want the public thinking about. I don't know how plausible this idea is, but it might be worth considering.
You know that would make sense, the directly mentioned Mike from the games along with an ACTUAL fnaf game so this book seems more connected than a lot of the other books plus it's cannon that fnaf horror games exist in universe so a goosebumps like horror book series isn't that far of a stretch

As a big ol' nerd I have to say the weird lore mysteries is what has me caring about any of this. Most hidden stuff in most things is so surface level that it's found in minutes, but FNAF has a legion of dorks going for years.
Man, the gravity falls worldwide scavenger hunt was like the coolest thing ever. I can definitely see fnaf doing something like that, and really that that's something in terms works.

I read Felix The Shark awhile ago and I remember the “flowers and butterflies” drawings very oddly dropped in the story. Like what was the point? However after digging in my FNAF notes journal (yes I have one, I’m a nerd) I saw that I noted Vanessa from Security Breach liked flowers from the cassettes. This may be a meaningless dead end but it was odd to me that both of these pieces of FNAF media mention “flowers” and the book written in Felix The Shark was written by the daughter of someone connected to Freddy Fazbear’s. I know it’s a stretch but could this be hinting to Vanessa being one of the children or at the very least connected to Henry/William? Just something to think about.
I feel like a disclaimer is necessary to not repeat what the fandom has done in the past of calling REAL phone numbers or visiting real locations unless there is more solid confirmation about an in-person ARG. This could totally be intended as an online thing, or something not spanning multiple locations such as a post office! The main thing that’s bothering me more than anything about this ARG is what’s the end point. Every ARG has a clear ending you’ve got to figure out. The Wilbur ARG was all about figuring out what Wilbur did. The Bill Cypher Hunt that Matt Pat mentioned in this video was all about finding Bill. So here’s my question what is the ARG about? What are we looking for? Is there anything even hinting towards an ARG outside of this book? Right now it feels like a scraped ARG, which is why this story was scrapped originally.

The entire Cypher Hunt’s final clue was in the original photo depicting the Cypher Hunt began. Wilbur started off saying he did something wrong and was on the run. “FNAF’s ARG” started with animatronic Shark and what does that solve for the lore.
You said how in both the bill cypher and wilbur arg there were things that linked back to the start. Basing off of how gravity falls had their arg, maybe its going back further than the books, maybe it goes past the box back to the place it all began, Fredbears family diner. Literally the only reason I’m still involved with FNAF is for this. Matpat’s theories and the community they’ve created have been so influential to me, leaving now would be like leaving all my friends or dropping out of school. FNaF having a IRL ARG would honestly be perfect for this series. One of the oldest rumors/hoaxed was the photoshopped real life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Speaking of that location, anyone know where the actual building is? Seems like it would be a great place to hide some sort of clue for anyone who’s been following this series from the beginning Edit: after seeing some thoughts on this theory on both the FNaF and Game Theory subreddit this doesn’t seem like the best idea. I think Matt Pat is on the right track when he mentions the Gravity Falls hunt. When the books came out and had all of this random stuff, nobody understood. But once it was explained that is was a treasure hunt, the clues made sense. I think this is EXACTLY what Scott and Steel Wools Studios are doing, and they know it.

I think the reason why we're being stumped like this when it comes to FNAF was the fact that SB was delayed waaay too much that the books came out first. It may not seem much, but considering our thought processes during this whole shabang was we have the current new evidence (the games as they are released, or in much simpler terms piece 1) and from there pieces 2-nth would be given to us as we progress. But with SB, we were given Piece 2, not Piece 1, and that simple change in our formula was rocked so much that it's hard to see perspectives to create a coherent theory to piece things up Added the fact that the lore is quite dodgy and at times really obscure didn't help our confusion either But yeah, that's my take on this lmao

I'd just like to point something out in the "you're the band" story he placed the Freddy head back on to the animatronic. This could explain the mysterious hand print on Freddy's face in the early games.

The one mystery that never ceased to baffle me is how the in-universe characters failed to have nothing to do with the Fazbear franchise despite of the many, many, many many MANY allegations of death and murder and terrible corporate public imagery.
The colouring books make me wonder how you could hide something within the pages. An idea I had was perhaps there are white plastic lines within where you colour in on the paper and when you do it reveals something. Either that or you need to colour in exactly where the lines are and it reveals something that way. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if what's revealed is what appears to be some weird letters which make sense when looked at in a mirror. You would have to feel on each page to check if I'm onto something, but it's all I got right now.
I can see about that- I happen to own the book and have been just casually coloring in it, but there is specifically one thing that has stood out to me. There's a miniature Circus Baby with Rockstar Freddy and Monty on one page, but we never see this small estranged Circus Baby in the game, what do you guys think?

It's possible Scott planned for the ARG to launch in early 2020 but had to scrap it after the 'Rona hit. To my knowledge, worldwide quarantine and treasure hunts aren't really sympatico.

The story with Timmy is relating to fnaf 2 in suspicious ways. First, one of the main game mechanics of fnaf 2 is the Freddy mask, which directly relates to this story. Second, fnaf 2 starts with a scene where you're on the fnaf 1 stage in the same position as Freddy was, giving me the idea that when we put on the mask we are possessed by the child and we see the same thing they had to go through every day, not to mention the fact that Timmy gets up on the stage in the story and acts like Freddy.
That would explain the vision sequences. The first one seems normal, the second one Bonnie and Chika look at you concerned ( Foxy or Fred bear may have been stuffed too) and then in the third one the puppet appears just before the 'give gifts give life minigame where the puppet beings them to life to haunt the pizzeria. Then you get the dismantling scenes from FNAF 3, then the FNAF 2 game itself.
The Butterfly drawings made me think of Baden Powells Butterfly drawings that were secretly maps during WW1. He hid the layout of enemy bases in the spots on the wings. Maybe the FNAF coloring book drawings are maps done the way Baden Powel would make one. Bigger ink blotches and odd lines representing roads and buildings and such.

Dear MatPat, have you considered trying symbolism? The clues such as “Give me One, And I’ll make more” and “Follow the light to make things right” sounds more like an order for theorists than riddles to solve. I believe we need to take a different approach and actually map out the entire book series based on where and when each stories take place.
Like how the game theorist from the 12 issue, she investigated Fnaf3 and discovered the location and found a dead body. Probably the answer is quite obvious but we aren’t seeing it from the right angle. The author for the dog whatever the book she wrote gave the protagonist the key that lead to another key that led to Felix the shark. Maybe we aren’t supposed to find the destiny but rather the path towards it.
I was planning on re-reading the book series and marking down the characters and places of the story’s, might start doing that now because we need to figure this out
I'm kind of dissapointed with how the fnaf lore has been treated lately. It seems so impossible to solve and every new game answers questions but leaves an unfair amount of plot holes that will never be solved until you wait for the next game release. It's unsatisfying if you're this stumped with this many mysteries.

one thing to know about utah (from a utahn) is that the whole salt lake valley is sometimes referred to as "peace valley" or "happy valley" so the fact that there isn't a specific town called peace valley isn't necessarily a deal breaker, and was probably the authors being a bit more vague on purpose

Personally i think the references to drawings in the story is basically telling us to look at all the children's drawings at all the fnaf games because i think everyone myself included overlooked them for lore potential
Sometimes when you take lemon on pages it shows stuff, you could try those markers that only work on paper, like the ones for kids, or take a crayon and color over the pages to see if any indents may have been made to reveal something

Hey I know I'm late but I had to tell someone this. I didn't find a theatre by the Utah post office. However, I did find a few old buildings around it. Looks like they've been abandoned. I also did find a building that is LITTERLY called *MEGAPLEX* that is a bit far from the post office and it is indeed a theatre.
Debunk: Maybe the last book is not supposed to give lore, but to celebrate how far we got in fazbear frights, and to celebrate it’s spiritual successor tales of the pizza plex. Maybe they put those scrapped ones there as a “celebration” of sorts.

I really like the Shark story. A guy wanted to win an argument so he travelled the country to find out he wasn't wrong and there was a single specific restaurant where what he is saying was true. Relatable. And I agree all this stuff does feel like the Gravity Falls ARG.
Let’s put the entire timeline together, I’m expecting other FNAF theorists to put their hat into the ring. Alright? Let’s get started! In FNAF 2, we establish that that was the first location.
I have the coloring book, and one thing that kinda weirded me out was the amount of pages with characters that were almost completely unrelated to eachother. I'm not sure if it was just from the pages being put together by someone who doesn't actually know the franchise or if it actually means anything. There's one with Glamrock Freddy, Monty, and Circus Baby that stands out in particular, but I'm not sure about the others. There are also a lot of pages that are just one character duplicated a bunch into a radial pattern, but again, I'm not sure if they mean anything or were just cheap ways to fill pages.
I wonder if you could combine the pages and it would create like an image or text or something it probably wouldn’t work and just be a waste but been thinking that for a while
This might be a stretch, but if I’m not mistaken, FNaF 3 should be taking place around 2023, and if FNaF 1 took 1993 give or take, thirty years after that is 2023. Maybe the books were setting up an ARG to take place this or next year but was cancelled?

I read Felix The Shark awhile ago and I remember the “flowers and butterflies” drawings very oddly dropped in the story. Like what was the point? However after digging in my FNAF notes journal (yes I have one, I’m a nerd) I saw that I noted Vanessa from Security Breach liked flowers from the cassettes. This may be a meaningless dead end but it was odd to me that both of these pieces of FNAF media mention “flowers” and the book written in Felix The Shark was written by the daughter of someone connected to Freddy Fazbear’s. I know it’s a stretch but could this be hinting to Vanessa being one of the children or at the very least connected to Henry/William? Just something to think about.

The main thing that’s bothering me more than anything about this ARG is what’s the end point. Every ARG has a clear ending you’ve got to figure out. The Wilbur ARG was all about figuring out what Wilbur did. The Bill Cypher Hunt that Matt Pat mentioned in this video was all about finding Bill.
So here’s my question what is the ARG about? What are we looking for? Is there anything even hinting towards an ARG outside of this book? Right now it feels like a scraped ARG, which is why this story was scrapped originally.

Literally the only reason I’m still involved with FNAF is for this. Matpat’s theories and the community they’ve created have been so influential to me, leaving now would be like leaving all my friends or dropping out of school. FNaF having a IRL ARG would honestly be perfect for this series. One of the oldest rumors/hoaxed was the photoshopped real life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Speaking of that location, anyone know where the actual building is? Seems like it would be a great place to hide some sort of clue for anyone who’s been following this series from the beginning

I think Matt Pat is on the right track when he mentions the Gravity Falls hunt. When the books came out and had all of this random stuff, nobody understood. But once it was explained that is was a treasure hunt, the clues made sense. I think this is EXACTLY what Scott and Steel Wools Studios are doing, and they know it.

I think the reason why we're being stumped like this when it comes to FNAF was the fact that SB was delayed waaay too much that the books came out first.
It may not seem much, but considering our thought processes during this whole shabang was we have the current new evidence (the games as they are released, or in much simpler terms piece 1) and from there pieces 2-nth would be given to us as we progress.
But with SB, we were given Piece 2, not Piece 1, and that simple change in our formula was rocked so much that it's hard to see perspectives to create a coherent theory to piece things up
Added the fact that the lore is quite dodgy and at times really obscure didn't help our confusion either
But yeah, that's my take on this lmao

The colouring books make me wonder how you could hide something within the pages. An idea I had was perhaps there are white plastic lines within where you colour in on the paper and when you do it reveals something. Either that or you need to colour in exactly where the lines are and it reveals something that way. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if what's revealed is what appears to be some weird letters which make sense when looked at in a mirror. You would have to feel on each page to check if I'm onto something, but it's all I got right now.

The story with Timmy is relating to fnaf 2 in suspicious ways. First, one of the main game mechanics of fnaf 2 is the Freddy mask, which directly relates to this story. Second, fnaf 2 starts with a scene where you're on the fnaf 1 stage in the same position as Freddy was, giving me the idea that when we put on the mask we are possessed by the child and we see the same thing they had to go through every day, not to mention the fact that Timmy gets up on the stage in the story and acts like Freddy.
That would explain the vision sequences. The first one seems normal, the second one Bonnie and Chika look at you concerned ( Foxy or Fred bear may have been stuffed too) and then in the third one the puppet appears just before the 'give gifts give life minigame where the puppet beings them to life to haunt the pizzeria.
Then you get the dismantling scenes from FNAF 3, then the FNAF 2 game itself.

The Butterfly drawings made me think of Baden Powells Butterfly drawings that were secretly maps during WW1. He hid the layout of enemy bases in the spots on the wings.

Dear MatPat, have you considered trying symbolism?
The clues such as “Give me One, And I’ll make more” and “Follow the light to make things right” sounds more like an order for theorists than riddles to solve. I believe we need to take a different approach and actually map out the entire book series based on where and when each stories take place.
Like how the game theorist from the 12 issue, she investigated Fnaf3 and discovered the location and found a dead body. Probably the answer is quite obvious but we aren’t seeing it from the right angle. The author for the dog whatever the book she wrote gave the protagonist the key that lead to another key that led to Felix the shark. Maybe we aren’t supposed to find the destiny but rather the path towards it.
I was planning on re-reading the book series and marking down the characters and places of the story’s, might start doing that now because we need to figure this out
I'm kind of dissapointed with how the fnaf lore has been treated lately. It seems so impossible to solve and every new game answers questions but leaves an unfair amount of plot holes that will never be solved until you wait for the next game release. It's unsatisfying if you're this stumped with this many mysteries.

one thing to know about utah (from a utahn) is that the whole salt lake valley is sometimes referred to as "peace valley" or "happy valley" so the fact that there isn't a specific town called peace valley isn't necessarily a deal breaker, and was probably the authors being a bit more vague on purpose

Also a fellow Utahn, I called up my aunt who has lived in cedar city for 20 years. She said she didn't know of any old theaters around that area, the closest one to her is the Cedar city megaplex. She does know of a post office on a corner, however,(She said, "why did you ask?") so once we find the buildings address I'll tell ya.
It turns out its super northern Cedar City so... Also, remember that in the book "Silver Eyes" the pizzeria takes place in hurricane, maybe search there?

I think the reason these stories were scrapped is because they were originally supposed to be released in 2020 and THEN the ARG would begin but the pandemic happened so they're coming out now.

Personally i think the references to drawings in the story is basically telling us to look at all the children's drawings at all the fnaf games because i think everyone myself included overlooked them for lore potential
Sometimes when you take lemon on pages it shows stuff, you could try those markers that only work on paper, like the ones for kids, or take a crayon and color over the pages to see if any indents may have been made to reveal something

Hey I know I'm late but I had to tell someone this. I didn't find a theatre by the Utah post office. However, I did find a few old buildings around it. Looks like they've been abandoned. I also did find a building that is LITTERLY called *MEGAPLEX* that is a bit far from the post office and it is indeed a theatre.

I really like the Shark story. A guy wanted to win an argument so he travelled the country to find out he wasn't wrong and there was a single specific restaurant where what he is saying was true. Relatable. And I agree all this stuff does feel like the Gravity Falls ARG.

I have the coloring book, and one thing that kinda weirded me out was the amount of pages with characters that were almost completely unrelated to eachother. I'm not sure if it was just from the pages being put together by someone who doesn't actually know the franchise or if it actually means anything. There's one with Glamrock Freddy, Monty, and Circus Baby that stands out in particular, but I'm not sure about the others. There are also a lot of pages that are just one character duplicated a bunch into a radial pattern, but again, I'm not sure if they mean anything or were just cheap ways to fill pages.
I wonder if you could combine the pages and it would create like an image or text or something it probably wouldn’t work and just be a waste but been thinking that for a while

This might be a stretch, but if I’m not mistaken, FNaF 3 should be taking place around 2023, and if FNaF 1 took 1993 give or take, thirty years after that is 2023. Maybe the books were setting up an ARG to take place this or next year but was cancelled?
