    My favorite part of this fender kit is the part where it slings mud and rocks on the license plate

    Who else is watching this entire Grom install, and doesn’t own or plan on owning one, just to get their Blockhead fix?

    Good timing, I just ordered the TST eliminator and plate light for my 1098 last week. Funny coincidence. Ride safe!

    Will this work exactly the same on a 2023 boom Vader 125cc clone?

    I hope they don't give you any problems getting it inspected. The Florida statute states the rear signals must be "as widely spaced laterally as practicable" with practicable being up for interpretation by the person doing the inspection. Does look significantly better though.

    • @jjgruiz4
      @jjgruiz4 6 лет назад

      4-n there are no vehicle inspections in Florida.

    • @4-n52
      @4-n52 6 лет назад

      That's pretty cool. Here in Texas we have to get our motorcycles inspected however motorcycles are at least exempt from emissions testing.

      +1 No inspection here in FL. I did however install additional LED signals on the back for safety purposes. Much more visible if they set off the bike at least a little bit. That's in a future install vid 👍

    Out of curiosity why do people not like the Fender on the Grom? I personally think it looks cool. Those without it its even smaller and cuter.

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  6 лет назад

      Looks gaudy and takes away from the lines of the bike. Required to come with it since it's DOT regulation.

    Need help. I bought sena 30k and at 65mph i cant hear my brother or anything else but fucking wind. Sucks because we ride 80mph average so seems like 500$ wasted. How do vloggers do group rides and sound so clear???

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  6 лет назад +2

      Could be 2 issues you're having. 1) The ear pieces aren't close enough to your ears. Sena sends extra padding for this adjustability with your kit. 2) The microphones are picking up too much wind. This depends on what helmet you have, but if you have a full face, you don't want it too high towards the visor or too low towards the bottom of the chin. You want it tucked more towards the cheek pad. If you have a 3/4 or half helmet, not sure what to tell you, since the mic needs to be close to your mouth which = the mic being in the wind in those style helmets.
      You can also checkout plugfones. I'd recommend them regardless, as they're amazing for longer rides for speeds 65mph + Link: amzn.to/2rhNn7b - Plugs right into the Sena aux plug, so you hear everything through the Sena, and keep your ears from getting exhausted from wind noise 👍

    Hey Blockhead, what is your opinion for a beginner bike, an R-3 or a Harley Davidson Street 500 (XG500)? I am conflicted right now

    • @yannickgluck4224
      @yannickgluck4224 6 лет назад +1

      mattow232 get the Harley the r3 is slow. I had One and you get the bad seeting position of a Sport Bike and the speed of a harley. At least you sit comfortable on the harley😅👌

    • @4-n52
      @4-n52 6 лет назад +1

      Completely different bikes. I would suggest sitting on both and see which one feels better. Even better if you can get a test ride with each.

    • @mattow232
      @mattow232 6 лет назад

      That's my plan, I am going to try and get a test ride on both of the bikes on the same day, I have already ridden the R-3 and I am fine with the seating position, I have also sat on the 500 and love the way it feels, right now my main concern is the lean angles on the 500 as I would like to do some twisties in the hills and I'm not sure how it would cope

    • @4-n52
      @4-n52 6 лет назад +2

      Any bike can handle twisties it's just a matter of how aggressive you want to ride them. If you want to attack them aggressively then the R-3 is the answer. If you want to just cruise them then the 500 would be fine. With less lean angle you just have to go into them a bit slower.

    • @BlockheadMoto
      @BlockheadMoto  6 лет назад +1

      Everything 4-n said is accurate, good advice! Best bet, test ride em both and go w/ the one you like more!

    I thought it looked normal with the eliminator on but then I saw the after photo and I realized the eliminator kit just looks natural on it, the rear fender just looks horrible

  • @CraigSmith568
    @CraigSmith568 5 лет назад

    Love the look of a bike without all that crap hanging off the back and the integrated taillight looks good, but personally I would rather try and keep some turn signals in addition to the taillight for better visibility to the idiots out there on the road.

      Patxi del Norte pretty much looks. That huge plastic conglomeration is an eye sore and without it gives a more sleek look that gives the Grom better lines to the eye. (Of some people)
