Discovered this place thanks to the Indy Pass last year and loved it. Anytime Im making the trek to Utah to ride I try to make it out there now.
Shawnee mountain in PA, where i learned to ride used those up until a few years ago. Still no RFID, now they have the zip tie tickets. Learned at a young age to throw it on the pants not the coat. Half the time i ride PA im wanting to ditch the coat by lunch thanks to warm weather. Gotta love the Poconos!

Back in 1970’s, I rode the ski bus from Bainbridge Is. to Stevens Pass for lessons. We had wickets on our coats, which in those days doubled as our “winter school coat”. Towards the end of the season, we’d have a nice collection of lift tickets. It was kind of a way to tell everyone that you were a skier (sorry, the winter stick had just been invented; no snowboards)
