I dont watch the Disney Channel at all and it's rare if I see a Disney movie... the last one I really actually liked was Wreck-It Ralph though.
Wreck It Ralph was a great and even a sweet heart of movie.I suppose I could relate to Sarah Silverman's character, she was a glitch and I was born a glitch of human by being a lesbian and at first not excepted by family and kids at school just like her character wasn't excepted by her cgi peers,I suppose??
I didn't really have the luxury to grow up with these cartoons very much, but Disney Plus has given me these gifts. I've especially loved the original DuckTales, TaleSpin, Rescue Rangers, and Darkwing Duck. Darkwing is by far my favorite of them all!

I swear, if they ever invent time travel in my lifetime, and make it as sort of a vacation tourist package, I will shell out whatever I have to, just to go back to the 90s for two weeks, partly just to rewatch these shows on t.v. and literally relive my childhood. Anyone else with me on that?

R.I.P. Christine Cavanaugh (1963-2014) the voice of Gosalyn Mallard on Darkwing Duck, Dexter on Dexter's Laboratory and Babe in the movie Babe just to mention a few.

I even judged it before I watched it and it wasn't until last November when I gave it a try and I found out that I really liked it. The show is like the old my little pony cartoons but without humans and with decent pop culture references. Also they have great voice talent in the show like Tara Strong as Twilight Sparkle also they got John Delancey to voice Discord and yes the same guy who did Q from Star Trek. Also they had this last season Weird Al Yankovic voicing a character based on himself called Cheese Sandwich. So don't jump to conclusions until you see the show because it's actually really good which is sad because if there wasn't so many bad cartoons nowadays people like me might have been watching it longer than in reality. Also the other main voice talent are Tabatha St Germain as Rarity Andrea Libman as both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie which is the shows main comic relief character and Laren Faust herself told them that for certain gags only Pinkie Pie can do them she obeys the laws of cartoon physics. Ashleigh Ball voice both Applejack and Rainbow Dash both are the tomboys of the main characters. And Cathy Weseluck voice Spike Twilight Sparkle's faithful assistant. Their relationship with each other are kinda like younger brother and older sister but really close. And Spike is a baby dragon by the way. There's other characters in the show but those are the main characters and they're good characters I really like them.
I love that Ducktales 2017 implied that they share the same universe as all the other Disney Afternoon Shows or at least references it. So not only is the reboot is a love letter for fans of the original, but fans of other Disney Afternoon shows, too.
I absolutely LOVE the Disney Afternoon. I have the complete dvd boxset of: - Gummi Bears - Ducktales - Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers - Talespin - Darkwing Duck - Gargoyles - Goof Troop All of these shows were my childhood.
I enjoyed these shows while I was in college. Especially Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck. I do question one thing. Where are The Mighty Ducks? They were a part of the Disney Afternoon as well.
I would love a Kingdom Hearts spinoff that just visited Disney Afternoon based areas. Then again they've already been to Agrabah and the Lion King worlds. And no one wants to revisit Bonkers.
Jamie O'Connell Don't get so offended because I don't like Bonkers lmao. It's great that it helped you out, but the shows that helped me out were Darkwing Duck and DuckTales. No need to be so uptight. Also, just because you like it doesn't mean that others don't have a reason to dislike it.
I think I have an idea for the plot. Maybe King Mickey winds up with a case of Stage 3 Culture Shock, which makes him act like a stereotypical 90's punk. To find a cure, Sora, Donald, and Goofy must travel throughout the Disney Afternoon to find a cure, only for that cure to be some clean memories. The worlds include: -Duckburg*(Donald suggested this to be the first world to go to in the game.) -St. Canard*(Upon entering, Sora asks if this is just Duckburg at night.) -Cape Suzette*(In a reference to the cancelled Jungle Book realm, the trio ponder if they've met Baloo and Louie before.) -Spoonerville*(As this was Goofy's home, he is not playable in this stage, but Young Max is.) -Rescue Rangers Headquarters(When Donald meets Chip and Dale here, he goes paranoid about the many times he's tried to destroy them in those old shorts, and promptly kisses up to them for most of the level. When they do discover the truth about Donald, they almost succeed in exacting their revenge, but Gadget and Zipper scold the chipmunks and tell them to apologize for those escapades, and Donald to apologize to them for the destruction he caused.) -Gummi Glen(In this world, the trio gets ever so close to finding what they thought was the cure up to that point, but near the end of the level, Zummi Gummi tells them that the best cure for anyone is to remember the good in anyone. Gruffi Gummi tries to make a rebuttal, but Grammi Gummi simply stomps on his foot beforehand.) *=If you know enough about these worlds and the shows that come from them, you can make your own plot for each one. The game would be released on the newest generation of consoles, even Nintendo's system. Also, please don't @ me on this. It took a bit of research and a good chunk of imagination on how to order the worlds by the overall plot. Plus, the message, while sounding childish for Kingdom Hearts standards, goes hand in hand with just how preachy these shows were back then.
Me too but it would cool if the Disney Channel not Plus bring the afternoon block back but with new shows no reboots please God no. Something that reminds of the old afternoon block but up to date. From 1pm to 6pm 5 hours of original Disney cartoons on the network not Disney Plus just Disney Channel only.
I'm spending my entire day off ripping every single disney afternoon show for my disney afternoon collection in a usb drive. If im lucky I can find the complete series on internet archive without having to rip them one by one in hours. Because my sister just cancelled her disney+ subscription and i'm creating my own disney afternoon collection! I'm almost done! 👍 😂
Timon and pumbaa is going to be ALWAYS my favorite disney afternoon show off ALLL TIMMEE!!! BECAUSE The Lion King is my favorite disney movie and timon and pumbaa are my FAVORITE characters from the movie... and i hope they make a reboot
Damn these were such better days. I was one of those little black kids from harlem who didn't care they were all into this. This takes me back to better days. I miss waking up and seeing this when I would get home from school or my days off or even when I'd play hookey. This was the best.
I grew up with three of these cartoons that where probably reruns, chip and Dale rescues rangers, timone and pumba, and lastly...goof troop,2001..the good year to be born in
I was here for all of this but I somehow always forget Gummi Bears was, SOMEHOW, the first. It seems like DuckTales must have launched (no pun intended) the whole thing, with how groundbreaking and game-changing it was! But nope. A small-scale little mediaeval-themed show about talking bears who don’t solve mysteries or rewrite history or anything and have no decades old ties to other Disney IPs. Nothing against it of course; Gusto is my man!
After seeing and listening to the Disney Afternoon Intro, I was welling up with tears because I remember i would come home after school, turn on the t.v. and the intro would get me set to watch all my favorite Cartoons!!! I knew Disney's Gummy Bears was on weekends when I was a kid, but Duck Tales, Chip -n- Dale, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck was my favorite shows when I was in 4th and 5th grade.
Nigel Thompson-During Its makes you sad, and I don't know why? I feel like I've done well as an adult, but nothing touches the days of coming home from school watching Disney Afternoon, Ghostwriter, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, or playing SNES. I truly miss those days!!!!!!
I don't know why Disney doesn't show some of their older cartoons. Instead of making a new Duck Tales they could have showed the original cartoon. Kids would still like these. I miss the incredible music during opening credits too.
Bonkers was originally supposed to have been a Who Framed Roger Rabbit spinoff but it got stuck in development hell for the better part of 5 years due to legal issues so they finally said fuck it and completely retooled it into what it became.
A QUARTER MILLION VIEWS and counting. Not bad for something I put together in a fit of nostalgia one boring Saturday afternoon! I'm glad people are enjoying this so much.

Man I feel so lucky I was a kid in the 90's, it was the most awesome time to grow up! Oh and TaleSpin will always be my favorite!! 😁😁
I absolutely LOVE the Disney Afternoon.
I have the complete dvd boxset of:
- Gummi Bears
- Ducktales
- Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers
- Talespin
- Darkwing Duck
- Gargoyles
- Goof Troop
All of these shows were my childhood.
Don't forget Hercules
This is what disney is supposed to be ❤ this is what dreams are made of ❤
I enjoyed these shows while I was in college. Especially Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck. I do question one thing. Where are The Mighty Ducks? They were a part of the Disney Afternoon as well.
I remember all these cartoons when I was a kid. Thank you for bringing my childhood memories of Disney Afternoon
Where’s mighty ducks?
Everytime I see the "Aladdin" TV Series, all I can think of is....."RIP Robin Williams" and "MARRY ME JASMINE!!!"
This is great upload. I literally haven’t heard these in 25 years
still collecting the DVDs to this day
MrKing8050 i only have the dvds of duck tales and tale spin. I'm still searching for more of my childhood favorites ^^
@@firemiracle In my country they are so hard to find I want them all lol.
Ahh the days before “adult obligations” and learning just how crappy life really is.
i always liked this line "when there's trouble you, call D.W." ☺️
Darkwing darkwing Duck!
I always wondered why ducktales intro reminded me of the afternoons when I was a child, “as a kid I didn’t know about Disney afternoon”
I would love a Kingdom Hearts spinoff that just visited Disney Afternoon based areas. Then again they've already been to Agrabah and the Lion King worlds. And no one wants to revisit Bonkers.
+Katie Baily
That would be cool!! have to agree about Bonkers though!!!!
+Jacob Moeller bonkers wasn't bad, it was pretty unoriginal though
Jamie O'Connell Bonkers sucked tho. It doesn't really deserve respect.
The worlds include:
-Duckburg*(Donald suggested this to be the first world to go to in the game.)
-St. Canard*(Upon entering, Sora asks if this is just Duckburg at night.)
-Cape Suzette*(In a reference to the cancelled Jungle Book realm, the trio ponder if they've met Baloo and Louie before.)
-Spoonerville*(As this was Goofy's home, he is not playable in this stage, but Young Max is.)
-Rescue Rangers Headquarters(When Donald meets Chip and Dale here, he goes paranoid about the many times he's tried to destroy them in those old shorts, and promptly kisses up to them for most of the level. When they do discover the truth about Donald, they almost succeed in exacting their revenge, but Gadget and Zipper scold the chipmunks and tell them to apologize for those escapades, and Donald to apologize to them for the destruction he caused.)
-Gummi Glen(In this world, the trio gets ever so close to finding what they thought was the cure up to that point, but near the end of the level, Zummi Gummi tells them that the best cure for anyone is to remember the good in anyone. Gruffi Gummi tries to make a rebuttal, but Grammi Gummi simply stomps on his foot beforehand.)
*=If you know enough about these worlds and the shows that come from them, you can make your own plot for each one.
All of these shows were excellent. Shoutout to anyone from Edmonton, Canada who grew up with Disney Afternoon on the TV on Saturdays.
The Disney Afternoon Collection!
I remember watching most of these when they were originally on the air.
I love all these Disney Afternoon Shows when I was a kid.
My favourite disney tv shows are Ducktales 2017 and Darkwing Duck! ❤️❤️😄😄
Just glad they are all on Disney plus
Me too but it would cool if the Disney Channel not Plus bring the afternoon block back but with new shows no reboots please God no. Something that reminds of the old afternoon block but up to date. From 1pm to 6pm 5 hours of original Disney cartoons on the network not Disney Plus just Disney Channel only.
Darkwing Duck, is the best hero on disney afternoon
Dark wing Duck was alright I loved the show but wasn't that great of a superhero
😂
My Childhood 😊
I so miss my childhood😁
Timon and pumbaa is going to be ALWAYS my favorite disney afternoon show off ALLL TIMMEE!!! BECAUSE The Lion King is my favorite disney movie and timon and pumbaa are my FAVORITE characters from the movie... and i hope they make a reboot
Damn these were such better days. I was one of those little black kids from harlem who didn't care they were all into this. This takes me back to better days. I miss waking up and seeing this when I would get home from school or my days off or even when I'd play hookey. This was the best.
My childhood right here!
I miss a lot Disney Arternoon Show and Also Saturday Morning Cartoon`s.
Me too the early 90s was awesome
Upon seeing the DT2017 Season drei poster, we could be looking at the Disney Afternoon Extended Universe.
❤😂
I just came here after seeing the chip and dale movie. Anyone else?
6:20 Now gimme a beat!
Gargoyles looks like it could be considered Disney's answer to Batman The Animated Series.
Ducktales was one of my favorites growing up.
Am so glad that the Disney afternoon collection video game used this song as the main theme 0:04
Who’s here after watching the Chip and Dale Rescue Ranger movie on Disney+?
Oh....this is just a nostalgic slap in the face. Thanks!!!
My personal favorites
Goof troop
Darkwing duck
Ducktales
Bonkers
Timon and pumbaa
Talespin
Sorry Gummibears was on Saturday Mornings
Hold up !!! Bonkers was real !!! Thought was a dreamn
IKR 😂😂
My childhood!! Miss the 90s so much!! 😢❤
